Scene III

(In Susan's room once again. The room is dark and only lit by candles. A large pentagram is on the floor, with the demon summoning book in the middle of it. Susan is in a black hooded cloak and sitting, arms in the air as if casting a spell.)

Susan: I call upon you now, Rulers of all that is evil, kings and queens of the underworld, Grant me the power to rid me of the nuisance they call Vix. Grant me the demon to vanish this siren forever. I call you to retrieve from me my own sanity. I give my everything to your highnesses of the broken. I give it all to be with Gregory. Rid me of the evil spirits of my wrongdoings and give me infinite power. So mote it be! (Thunder is heard and lightning flashes. Susan laughs wildly and is raised up. An evil green light consumes the stage. As soon as the spell is completed, Helga enters, completely shocked.)

Helga: Susan! What the hell did you do?

Susan: I did what I had to do, Helga. You don't understand this pain. Nothing but Gregory can fill this black hole inside me. Now get out of my way, or you will be next. (Helga steps out of the way as Susan floats away.)

Helga: She really lost it this time. My best friend is gone. I can't believe I let it go this far.. Maybe it isn't too late, though. Vix is still alive. Maybe I can stop Susan, and save both of them! (She grabs the demon summoning book and runs off, shouting:) Hold on Susan! I'll get you back! (Blackout.)
