*Val's P.O.V.*

"What the hell happened?!" I screamed. I was beyond confused and pissed about the entire situation. One minute I'm walking down the street, the next I'm in a car with four men who just so happen to make up my favorite band. My body felt like it was on fire.

"Calm down, what's your name?"

I looked over at the voice and saw it belonged to Victor Fuentes. He was wearing a gray pullover with dark skinny jeans, a gray beanie and an alarming expression. Vic's brows were furrowed together in deep concern. My heart fluttered briefly before I swallowed the feeling down. These guys almost killed me! I took a deep breath and was hesitant before speaking.

"My name is Valerie. Please call me Val. I already know who you guys are, and I want to go home or to the hospital. You hit me with your car and I sort of want to know why that happened?!" Somewhere as I was yelling, Jaime had lain a hand on my back slowly rubbing in circles.

"Shit, I'm so sorry, I was texting and I wasn't paying attention to the damn road. I'm so so so sorry. I didn't see anybody crossing," Mike quickly explained from the driver's seat. His voice sounded tense and his apology sounded sincere. But I was furious. I flicked the back of his head hard, making him swerve off the road before he jerked the car straight. Mike's eyes looked wild as he glared at me in the rear view mirror.

"What the fuck was that for!?"

"Running me over, dipshit! Where are we going? I should be at a hospital," I said, looking over at Tony. He had been sitting there the whole time staring at me with his mouth hanging slightly open.

"Why are you staring at me?" I questioned, making Tony blush and look at his lap.

"Sorry," Tony mumbled.

"We're taking you to my place for you to rest and see if you are okay," Vic explained, drawing my attention away from Tony.

"Listen, my head is splitting in two and my shoulder is about to make me scream in agony. I should be at a hospital, for Christ sake! But since your brother is driving, I guess I have no choice," I said leaning back between Jaime and Tony. I wasn't hurt that bad, just a few cuts and bruises but that wasn't the point. They ran me over, and instead of them taking me to a hospital they plan on taking me to Vic's house?! It didn't make any sense.

We arrived at Vic's house about ten minutes after my mini breakdown and it was beautiful. It was a two story yellow building with a white wrap around porch, matched with white steps that led to the entrance. There were rocking chairs spread out through the porch and even a porch swing. There were several windows on both floors and the house overall looked brand new. And expensive, I thought.

"Do you need help out of the car?" Tony whispered. I nodded my head yes and he reached his hand out to me. I generously took hold of his hand as he helped me stand on my own. My legs wobbled a bit, but soon gained some control over them in a few steps. Tony had an arm wrapped around my waist to help me walk, and I could honestly say he was holding me up more than I was holding myself.

I attempted to go up the porch steps alone but failed miserably. Without a word, Tony lifted me up effortlessly and carried me into the house. It took a while for my eyes to adjust to the lighting but when I did, I was intrigued and overall surprised at the organized living space. The living room was a deep red, furnished and held basic things you would find in a living room. TV, couches, a recliner, lamps, and a coffee table. It was simple, but welcoming.

Tony walked across the living room and laid me down on the love seat which was in front of the tv against a wall. He made sure to prop my body up with tons of pillows and that a glass of water was sitting on the coffee table beside me. Tony started pacing around, muttering things to himself with his hands pulling on his hair. I started to worry if he was going to be okay.

"Where is everybody?" I squeaked. My voice was hoarse and rough.

Tony stopped, startled, to look down at me with a small smile and shrugged his broad shoulders. I narrowed my eyes and he looked away quickly, his smile fading. He turned the tv on and popped in a movie before retreating to the kitchen. I could see his back muscles and tattoos through his tight muscle tee.

"Hey guys? We should probably all sit in the living room and figure all this out," Tony yelled up the stairs before disappearing into the kitchen. Where the hell is he going? I turned my attention to the TV and noticed he, of course, put in Star Wars. I rolled my eyes with a small smile and watched the movie. Minutes later, I saw him return from the kitchen with several ice packs and a bag of frozen peas. Tony carefully placed one on my knee and another on my thigh, one on my shoulder, and handed me the bag of peas to place on my forehead. I guess he was scared he would hurt me.

"I know I wasn't driving, but I'm really sorry that this happened. Mike should have been paying attention instead of texting his girlfriend," his hands clenching and unclenching into fists as he spoke.

"I should have been watching the road instead of my feet. I didn't look both ways before crossing," I mumbled, fiddling with the ice pack on my thigh. Tony only nodded at me saying this. I watched his mouth set into a deep frown as he retreated to the recliner across the room.

There were footsteps descending the stairs, and I tried to sit up so I could see better. My shoulder was aching and I winced at the pain. Instinctively, Tony ran back over and helped me sit up straight by putting pillows behind my back and around my waist. The rest of Pierce the Veil came down the stairs wearing more casual clothing and took a seat in the living room. After getting situated, everyone looked at me expectantly. I noticed the glum look on Mike's face and Jaime's face was pale as he shook his leg up and down. Vic was staring at the floor fiddling with his thumbs, and Tony was watching me carefully so he could get up to help me at any given second. Some sight.

"How long do I have to stay here?" I asked, mostly towards Vic since it was his house.

"At least until you feel better or you're able to walk on your own without assistance," Vic said, glancing at Tony. Tony smiled back weakly.

"Do you plan on pressing charges? Like going to the police station or something, because I am really sor-"

"I'm not going to sue you, okay? It was partially my fault too," I said, cutting off Mike. He looked confused and tired. Jaime narrowed his eyes.

"She didn't look both ways before she crossed," Tony chimed, causing his best friends to nod numbly.

"We're all really sorry and we feel terrible for what we did. Well, what I did," Mike whispered the last part, feeling embarrassed and ashamed.

"Just as long as you don't hit me again," I said, trying to lighten the mood. Everyone but Mike smiled at my comment and Jaime even laughed. Mike blushed as his eyes grew wide, before settling into a shy expression. Vic opened his mouth to talk, but was interrupted by the sound of my hungry stomach.

"What the hell? How did a noise like that come out of a tiny girl like you?" Jaime said with a giggle, his eyes wide. Vic and Mike smiled in agreement, but Tony looked uneasy. I looked over at him and smiled, causing him to return the gesture.

"I haven't had anything to eat for awhile," I explained quickly. "I should probably get going anyways," I said, standing up slowly. Right when I stood up, I regretted it. My head started spinning and I almost fell despite catching myself on coffee table. Everyone stood up on edge. I knew I wouldn't be able to stand on my own let alone walk, so I motioned for Tony to help me to the door. He hesitated before walking over, sliding a hand around my waist.

"Valerie, le-" Vic said before I cut him off.

"Please call me Val," I snapped, obviously frusturated at my condition. Tony tightened his grip on my hip as Vic came closer.

"Of course, sorry. Val, let's get you something to eat that's in the kitchen, yeah?" Vic suggested, pointing to the room Tony came out of earlier.

Before I could argue, eight hands were lightly pushing me into the kitchen and sitting me down at a wooden table.

I might as well enjoy this, I guess.
