Rene Flores is an 18-year-old boy, living in San Diego with his father, brother, and sister. When Pearl Harbor is bombed, bringing America into the war, the three siblings decide to follow in their father's footsteps and join the cause. The three planned on joining the Marines together, but on the way to the enlistment office, Rene sees a poster talking about being the best and fighting with the best, with the Airborne, and his curiosity gets the best of him. However, being the first soldier to ever use a new weapon in combat and openly denying any sort of heroic credit, Rene quickly makes a name for himself. One that he doesn't know he has.

Disclaimer
El Chicle is not an actual gun. I have researched different types of weapons and created it as a mixture of parts I found interesting. The weapons I researched were both pre WW2 and Post WW2 in both the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
I only speaks a little bit of Spanish, so I did not want to have terrible translations that were not reliable at all. I try to make it clear when Spanish is being spoken, and the little bit of Spanish that is in this, I hope is correct.
I do not want to disrespect the actual men of Easy Company. I am basing this off HBO's Miniseries, Band of Brothers and its actors. I intend to keep it that way, with my own OCs weaved in. I have read the book the miniseries is based off, and other books written by the men of Easy Company and have tried to use what I learned in that to add a bit more to this and close up some of the gaps the show has.
