Here I'll explain different things that you need to know when being a trainee.

When you apply you start with clean stats, like these ↓

If your trainee is Korean language starts at 800
Stats may vary from trainee to trainee depending on how well made your form is as well as what type of pervious training they have and similar things ^^I will now describe the different sections and requirements:
To debut you need to have your singing part and dance part.
Vocal/Rap
All Idols have to at least be a Sub Rapper or Vocalist. Sub parts require at least 400 points. The Lead parts 700 and Main 850.
Sub: 400
Lead: 700
Main: 850Dance
All Idols (unless you are a soloist that doesn't dance) have to have basic dancing skills. The required points to debut is 500 in dance. Lead position is 700 and Main 850.
Debut: 500
Lead: 700
Main: 850However to debut you need other skills develop as well.
Stage Presence
All Idols have to be nice to look at on stage so they need at least some stage presence. To debut the required points is 300, to be a center it is 700.
Debut: 300
Center: 700Personality
People don't like Idols who have a bad personality so like JYP, JM work to teach their trainees to improve themselves mentally as well. The main parts in this is Patience, Selflessness and conciseness. The points required to debut is 500.
Debut: 500
Modeling
Of course Idols have to be able to model so your trainee needs to take modeling courses. The required points for this is 300, to be a face of the group or center is 700.
Debut: 300
Center / fotg: 700Now of course there are other skills that are required for specific positions or just for extra skills.
Charisma
Some Idols have a strong aura that draws people in. Some examples are Seyeon of (g)i-dle, Chungha and Hyunjin of Stray Kids. There are also those that have an "innocent" type of charisma like I.N from Stray Kids, Yeri from Red Velvet and Nagyung from fromis_9. You don't need charisma to debut but it can come in handy and will be incorporated in different ways.
Leadership
Of course not all Idols have great leadership skills but almost all groups have at least 1 leader. To take the leader role in a group you have to have at least 600 leader points.
Debut as leader: 600
Language
Native Koreans already start with 800 in this one but foreigners don't. To debut in a group you have to have at least 600 points. As well to become a lead or main rapper you have to have 900 because Rappers need to have good pronunciation and a big vocabulary.
Debut: 600
Lead/Main rapper: 900Acting
Most Idols don't act but you need to be able to act a little for MV and CF's. To debut you only need 200 points but to become a center you need 500 and a face of the group 650.
Debut: 200
Center: 500
Face Of The Group: 650Comical
Now not all Idols are funny but every group has that one funny member. Face of the group's are the ones that most often go to variety shows so to become a fotg you need at least 400 points. The higher you have here the funnier you will be on shows and the more screen time you get on them.
Face Of The Group: 400

Now it may seem like you need to work very hard but not really. Points are easy enough earn and training only takes 1 minute for you, as well when you debut you don't need to accumulate points anymore.

Here is how you train! ↓
• You can take a maximum of 4 classes a day.
• You can only train once a day (meaning you can only comment once a day).Comment like this ↓
• You need to train at least once a week, this counts as active checks, if you miss 3 active checks you trainee will be put up for adoption.

Every trainee unit consists of 16 girl or guys. The unit members live in the same dorms (unless they live at home) and take all classes together (expect for special classes like language and acting).
Every unit has their own Unit manager. The unit manager takes care of all the trainees in that Unit until they debut, as well they makes sure that they follow company rules, train and things like that.
If you are caught breaking a rule (breaking one of the rules in the apply chapter or you miss an active check/training) your manager will give you a warning (furtherst down in your Unit chapter). After 3 warnings your trainee will be put up for adoption.
