➪DIAVOLO: falling in love in the moonlight

You were a petite woman, soft-spoken, and generally took no romantic interest in others.  that all soon changed when a boy came into the art museum you worked at.

though you didn't do much there besides show people around the portraits and paintings, the sculptures and artifacts. people adored them, though the boy who was there looked like he had different intentions.

he was still interested, yes but he looked wary about his surroundings. you approached him, from afar he looked like a teen but when you got closer you could tell he was a bit older.

                                                                   "must be lucky genetics"

you thought to yourself, the pink-haired boy looked at you beads of sweat formed on his face.
"Are you okay sir?" you ask him, he looks away and says something to himself before looking back at you.
"y-yes I'm fine ma'am" he timidly says and walks away.

you didn't poke at him any longer since he was obviously uncomfortable around you or the others. though you did have some questions for him, it looked as though he was watching someone closely you were intrigued by this

                                                                            mysterious man

he was in your group of tourists looking at the art so you were happy you could watch him for just a bit longer. but you feared you were staring too much as he would lock eyes with you ever so often but immediately look away when that happened you gave a weak smile and continued on.

-------------------

the little game of cat and mouse you and the boy were playing would have soon come to an end as the time was soon to run out, you two would try to look and one another to see if the other was staring and some of the time you two would meet eyes and give a smile then restart the tiny pass time game. time ran out faster than you had expected and the bright pink-haired boy had started to walk off, you ran up to him and put your hand on his shoulder.

"wait! what's your name? I need to know" you exclaim to him as he turns around to face you. your face turns a bit pink looking at him so close and he does the same.
"I-i um my name you said?" he asked you, you could tell he wasn't sure if he should give it to you or not. like he had to protect his or someone else's identity.

"yes I asked for your name," you say softly looking into his eyes and bashfully looking away once you noted what you were doing.

"oh uh haha... my name? Uhm my name is Doppio, Vinegar Doppio." he rubs the back of his neck and looks away, a few beads of sweat rolls down his face.

you whispered his name to yourself and smiled. "well Doppio, would you like to get lunch with me? my shift just ended" you tuck your [h/l] hair behind your ear and hold your hands together eagerly waiting for his reply.

he looked around the room tensed up and his body relaxed and he looked back at you.

 "I don't see why not"
he smiled at you "but I don't recall getting your name,

it would be better for me to know your name first before we go out anywhere"

you take a second to think to yourself and you realized he was right, you had never introduced yourself to him.

"I'm sorry about that, my name is [f/n] [l/n]" you smile warmly at him as he shows you a face that reads with approval.

you and Doppio soon leave and go to a nearby cafe, you learned much about him like his so-called habit to make a ringing noise. to him he is talking to someone, you learned this was caused by schizophrenia though that didn't stop you from talking to him any less.
just then, the ringing noise he was talking about had started to emerge from his lips. you giggled at it and he profusely apologized for interrupting the conversation.
