also i just started school back up so i'm sorry for the long waits. i'm doing my best <3 stay safe out there folks! wear your masks!!!It was 6pm and Natasha was lazily cross legged in the chair across the room from Steve.
"Forearm." Steve quizzed peeping over the top of his Anatomy book.
"Uhh..." Nat slumped further into her seat biting her lip guiltily. "Brachial?"
"No. Ante-brachial," Steve corrected impatiently.
"Shit." Nat hissed.
"Nat. You need to focus!" Steve scolded shutting his book. "Let's a take a break, pop some popcorn or something."
"That's the best idea you've had all night!" Nat chirped hooping out of her seat. Steve lead Nat to his kitchen where Bucky and Sam were sitting studying math.
"Hey!" Bucky exclaimed as Nat propped herself up on the counter staring into the distance focusing her gaze on a piece of dirt that clashed with he white tile of the floor. She was fully aware of her zoning out but she couldn't bring her self to look away towards the chatting Bucky and Steve. Sam tried to catch her eye but it was no use, she was completely out of it.
"Nat." Sam finally stated, although gental, gruff.
"Hm?" Nat raised her eyebrows still focusing her attention on that lucky piece of dirt.
"Are you good?" Sam asked.
"Mmhm."
"That's not an answer." Sam was a little irritated. "Hey, look at me." he said, his soft brown eyes scrunching into a kind smile. Nat obeyed and looked up meeting her friends well meaning gaze. "If you're worried about Wanda, give her some time. It'll all work out if it's meant to, an I'm pretty sure it is."
"And what makes you so sure." This came out harsher than intended. Nevertheless Sam continued the same patient expression,
"It's just...I can't explain it." Sam began, "when you look at her, when your with her...it's like- I dunno, it's like you're the best version of yourself." Nat raised an eyebrow, looking skeptical, "don't get my wrong, you've always been like THE best person I know but Wanda brings out that real actual happiness, something I know you're not faking." Nat sniffed hopping down from the counter and cross her arms over her chest.
"Damnit Sam." Nat cursed, her usual low and guarded voice small and light. "I- uhg. I have to see her."
"See who?" Bucky had overheard.
"Who do you think dumbass?" Sam shook his head. Bucky stuck out his tongue at Sam for good measure and turned back to Nat.
"Nat. Go." Steve nodded at her knowingly.
"You think it's a good idea? What if she-"
"Go. You'll regret it if you don't." Steve pushed, and he was never one to be pushy. Nat looked at all three faces, searching for a reason not to go but there were none. She knew what she had to do.
"I love you guys." She beamed giving Sam a tight, warm hug.
"Go get em!" Bucky cheered as Nat grabbed her keys a bolted out the door.

Meanwhile on the other side of town Wanda was sitting at her favorite spot in the world. There was a ledge in a local park where a white gazebo sat. Although the wood was rotting and the ground around it soggy Wanda loved it for the view, and this was the perfect time to be out there. The sky was a soft orange with hints of peach and even some
purple as the sun began to hide itself behind the unimpressively hilly town. There was a small play ground right in front of the gazebo that was empty right now as it usually was. The swings blew back a forth to the toon of the light breeze that caused Wanda to pull her cardigan a little tighter around her body. She recalled the nights her and Nat would spend in this very gazebo. It was summer then so it was much warmer...especially when Nat would put her arms around Wanda and lazily play with strands of her hair. They didn't even need to talk much, they would just sit listening to each-others breathing. Wanda sighed and traced her long black nails through the dirt scattered on the white wooden floor. She felt so cliche, she felt so lost. Her and Peter hadn't exactly talked sense that lunch period, Nat hadn't spoke a word to her when they walked past each-other in the halls and she blamed herself for every bit of it.
"You should have just told Peter. You should have just told Nat. Why do you do that to yourself?!" She hissed to herself watching an ant scamper away from her nail. "You're so fucking stupid!" She hardly finished her sentence before burrowing her face in her palms desperately holding back tears. behind her she heard a car engine come closer and then shut off. She composed herself , she sure as hell didn't want some stranger seeing her like this. She sat up straighter letting her cardigan fall off one shoulder.
"Hey stranger." A familiar voice made its way to Wandas ears. She whirled around with a light gasp and spotted a tall girl with a comforting expression plastered on her gorgeous features. She wore grey sweatpants and a tight red tank, her hair was down in wavy locks that lightly flew every which way in the breeze.
"Nat..." Wanda breathed, looking bewildered but honestly a little relived. Nat sat down about a foot from where Wanda was, crossing her legs underneath her.
"Ya know, you should wear bug spray out here." Nat said reaching over and swatting some mosquitos off Wanda's arm. Wanda smiled,
"I hate the smell of it though." She protested. Nat chuckled lightly and a familiar silence fell upon the two as they watched the sun slowly sink. "How did you know I was here?" Wanda finally asked.
"Are you kidding. This is your spot Wanda..." she paused and continued in a much more lower tone, "it used to be our spot..."
"Yeah..." Wanda managed, unsure of how to respond.
"Are you...still upset with me?" Nat asked trying to get Wanda to look at her. Wanda kept her eyes fixed on the fading sunset and thought for a moment.
"No..." she decided, shaking her head. "I'm not mad at you...I don't think I ever was, I mean, I was aggravated that the stuff about P-...my brother came out like that but I didn't blame you really...mostly I blame Clint." She shrugged. She finally brought her eyes to Nat's, which were filling up slapping with water, "short answer, no Nat, I'm not upset with you." She let a quick smile form on her lips. Nat nodded curtly.
"I still feel awful. You were right, it was not my place to say that in front of everyone...I'm so sorry, I should have-"
"Hey." Wanda moved close to Nat placing a delicate hand on hers. "I said it was okay and I meant it." She whispered. Nat let someone tension fall from her shoulders as she placed her free hand atop Wanda's.
"I want this back..." Nat said, "I know we have a ways to go, to trust each other. I swear I will give you all the time you need but- I need you Wanda. I'm not letting this go." She intertwined their fingers squeezing the girl's hand gingerly, "whatever it takes." Wanda let out a weak giggle looking back at the dirt she had been tracing little circles into earlier.
"Yeah...Whatever it takes." Wanda agreed. Nat pulled her close hugging her, gripping her tight as if she would just disappear if she let go. Wanda buried her nose into the crook of Nat's neck, taking in her warmth and flowery scent. She may have realized something right then but she would dare admit it yet. They broke the hug and Wanda pressed her forehead to Nat's, brushing some stray hair away from the taller girl's face. "Nat..." She breathed.
"Hm?"
"I want to kiss you..." Wanda didn't even realize what she was saying until she said it. But that was all she wanted right now, Nat's soft lips on hers.
"By all means." Nat invited placing her palm on the side of Wanda's neck. Wanda leaned in parting her lips before they lightly touched Nat's. The latter was short but soon Nat had made sure their lips collided once more. They breathed in unison, each anxiously awaiting the next move. Wanda let her hands travel to Nat's hair. As the kiss deepened Wanda was pushed backwards, she had to use one hand to steady herself on the wood as it creaked a bit, the other hand drew a fist of Nat's hair. Nat didn't break the kiss for a second even though the both of them were out of breath. Nat soon found herself crawling closer, letting her knees take their place on either side of Wanda's hips, straddling her. Wanda smiled into the kiss holding back a deep noise in the back of her throat. Without really thinking, Nat began to move her lower body in a circular motion right above Wanda's pelvis. Wanda couldn't keep that noise down any longer as Nat's tongue slyly slid into her mouth. She moaned softly letting her eyes shut tighter, maybe from embarrassment. Nat smirked at the obvious approval. Heat built up in the pit of Wanda's stomach, her senses were overloaded with excitement and pleasure. Nat broke away for a moment as they both breathed rapidly,
"We should probably stop..." Nat said, rather sadly.
"Why?" Wanda bit down in her lip.
"Because we are in a public and a car just pulled up." Nat placed one last kiss on Wanda's jaw, it was slow and suggestive. Wanda's face flushed as she observed a couple get out of a black sedan in the parking lot, they saw Nat and Wanda and politely smiled. Nat got off of her quickly and sat her self back in the wood.
"Hey don't let us stop you!" A short haired blond girl giggled grinning at them. They two looked about their age.
"No worries, we were about to get out of her anyways!" Nat called.
"You two have a great night!" The boy with her , tall and lanky, nodded and took the blonds hand as they walked down the path.
"You as well!" Wanda said a little to quietly for the couple to hear her. The two girls stood almost in unison.
"You need a ride?" Nat asked, holding up and dangling her set of car keys.
"I can walk." Wanda smiled.
"Don't be stupid." Nat protested, "it's dark, it's not safe to walk home alone, just let me drive you." Wanda looked pensive for a second until she nodded.
"Okay...are you sure it's not to much trouble?"
"Wanda." Nat stepped close and cupped Wanda's cheek with her palm. "you are never any trouble." She reassured. Wanda smiled down at her feet.
"Thanks." She squeaked. Nat did as promised and took Wanda home that night. Wanda slept well, content for the first time is a really long time.
