"Its been two months since we've told you about our secret, and there's only one more month left for me to study for that exam of that prestigious school you wanted me to enter." Zera currently held six loads full of metal.
"And I expect some great results from you." Hawks lazily sat on top of a crate near by, fiddling along with his feathers. Zera stopped and looked at him for a long second; before carrying out another three loads of metal on top of the six that she already had.
"You seriously scare me." Hawks looked mortified at the amount of loads she held. What scared him the most was how stoic she was with her relaxed posture and her lazy mood. Hawks had tried to become accustomed to it, but he still couldn't believe how strong she was.
Her silky purple hair shun in the light, the glimmer of her hair reflected in his eyes, alas it was the representation of peace in his mind. Zera had constantly tormented and teased the poor guy showing no mercy as he had always begged for her to be neutral with him.
Everytime Hawks gave her mountains of books to study; she would give petty and snarky remarks against him as retaliation, even when he just tried to hangout with her. It was not like he had intended to force her to study, but she needed all the knowledge she could get in order to securely claim a position in the top tier hero high school.
"Tell me why you want me to enter that hero high school again?" Zera continued to carry more loads of metal onto the delivery truck that had just pulled in the drive way, Hawks hinted off a glare at the delivery driver as he got off the truck to get some fresh air.
Zera looked from the delivery driver to Hawks, "It's not like he'll know what we're talking about."
"That's besides the point, this isn't something that we should discuss in public, You should already know that." Hawks pulled out a pen and paper as he tried to write down some errands for Zera to run later on.
"You always say that! Even at home!" Zera let go of three boxes all at once, to her dissatisfaction in his response she sat down and took a deep breathe. "You know sometimes I wonder if you really trust us, it's hard to tell. We trust you but you don't seem to feel the same way."
"Kid it's not that simple-- It's complicated."
"Yeah and so is counting the amount of feathers you have on your back." She went ahead and plucked out a feather that annoyed her because of how unsymmetrical it looked. In response Hawks flinched in surprise, letting out a small yelp, "You can't just pull out a man's feathers!"
"Good thing I didn't pull a man's feathers." Zera sarcastically commented.
"Why you-" Zera stared briefly at the commotion across the street, it seemed like person A didn't really like person B.
"Ah young love, I wish I'd have a woman to nag me like that!" Zera cringed in disgust, "Aw c'mon don't look at me like that!"
"Oh yeah--- my bad let me just-" She held a spoon about 80° from her face and pointed it at an angle beneath her eyes.
"Don't scoop your eyes out!" Zera paused and examined his expression, he looked worried, and before Zera could sense his sincerity he said," I don't want Celine to lecture me about how-"
Zera deadpanned then shot an annoyed look as Hawks continued to ramble on about how Celine would scold him. Zera walked away from him in hopes that she would not have to listen to his annoying voice.
From a far you could hear a distant voice echo, "Zera, where are you going?" But Zera was now no where to be seen for the man to see.
With her hands in her pockets, she yawned as tears formed in her eyes, "Two days without sleep, and I still managed to somehow function this well during the day." "So itchy!" She rubbed her visible eye bags.
As she strolled around the streets she saw a food stand that sold meat skewers, one of her favorite foods that she hadn't ate in a while, with its alluring and tempting smell, it made her drool. Although she was supposed to be in a diet, she betrayed herself once again and bought nine skewers to eat now and ten more to eat later, she placed those ten in her dimensional bag that would not let it rotten or spoil.
As she finished eating her nine meat skewers she let out a a satisfied burp, without saying an "excuse me" because no one was around to tell her to mind her manners; so she then sat on a bench to relax.
The wind was gentle, such a breeze made Zera feel relaxed and at ease, she sat in a comfortable position, closing her eyes to take a quick nap but was interrupted when a rude teenager with spiky blonde hair started cursing at her, complaining that she was on his spot.
She looked briefly at the boy, "Yeah that's right! Listen to me bit-" She ignored him and went on with her nap before her grabbed her collar, yanking her up from her comfortable position.
The boys around the rude teenager looked like his lackeys and seemed to have added more fuel to the fire saying things like "Oh you're going to let that girl ignore you", and things like, "Personally, I wouldn't let her treat me like that--", and with annoyance Zera looked him straight in the eyes, dangling on her toes with a glare.
"You have some nerve ignoring me, bitch."
"Let go of me, piss ant." The boys snickered from behind him, bruising his ego as he started to burn the front of her shirt, "You want to repeat that again?" He said, threatening.
"Do you not clean your ears? Or are you too dumb to comprehend what I said?" Zera managed to get away from his firm grip on what was left of her shirt, and grabbed his wrist, "Or is that you like touching my boobs, you pervert!"
His face flushed as he looked at her chest to see that her bra was showing and the front of her shirt was basically not even there, his lackeys blushed intensely at the sight. Such perverted behavior from the boys made Zera disgusted, "Are you going to keep looking or do I have to break some bones for you to finally let go of me?" The sound of a small crack could be heard at the direction of the boy's wrist and he started to wince in pain.
"YOU CRAZY-" Before he could finish saying his profanities, she flipped him over, intertwining her hands together; bashing him down to the ground followed by a kick to his spine.
Before he could counter attack; she firmly gripped his head as her other hand pulled back his arm, denying him the ability to get back up. In an attempt to use his quirk, Zera enchanted him to not be able to use his power for 5 minutes. When he realized nothing came out of his palm, he got angry and tried to wiggle his way out of her grip.
His struggle made Zera darkly smirk, before she decided to release him, she yanked his jacket and put it on, seeing as she couldn't just walk around with her chest on full display because that was inappropriate in Earth. She could have done it without a care in world in Earthland, but not here.
As she put his jacket on, his lackeys looked terrified and they took a step back, "Pick up your friend here and leave, before I start punching the shit out of you guys for fun."
They did as told as the boy who she "beat up", named Bakugo, started throwing a fit, cursing at his lackeys to let him go.
Zera smugly smiled and flipped him off as his friends dragged him away and she decided to head back towards Hawks. When she arrived, he questioned her and thought she had mugged someone because of her change of clothes. After explaining what happened, Hawks was relieved that the boy didn't get killed, Zera glared at him because she doesn't kill---- at least not anymore.
