𝟮𝟲 : 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀

Jeno entered the University and was confused to see everyone running around again. It seems like everyone was busy for no apparent reason at all.

As Jeno continued to trudge towards his building, he passed by Xiaojun and Hendery and waved at the pair who seemed to be excited.

"Hey, Jeno!" Xiaojun smiled. "I didn't know you would come to school today."

"Why wouldn't I be?" Jeno chuckled.

"Well, I thought you'd spend this day hanging out with Mark since tomorrow is his flight."

"He decided to spend it with Hyuck and we totally understand." Jeno's eyes crinkled. "Do you know why everyone's running around? Is there an event?"

Hendery shrugged, "My friend's transferring today. I guess they all heard about it and is gossiping about him again."

"Your friend...?"

"The one we threw a Welcome Back Party with. Mark was supposed to be there but you know, he had more important things to do." Hendery winked.

Jeno nodded, immediately getting what the older meant. He looked around once again and he still noticed how everyone, even the male students, were gossiping within themselves.

"Okay then." Jeno shrugged. "I'll be on my way to the club. Mr. Kim told us that we'll be meeting our new teacher today."

"Of course! Take care Jeno!"

"Yeah, take care to you guys too." Jeno waved and immediately went towards their club building.

Arriving inside, he was greeted with all the members present, except Mark and Donghyuck of course. Chenle and Jisung were playing basketball on their phones, Harvey was sitting by the window and using his phone, Renjun was on the roast room while singing to a random song and Jaemin was just patiently sitting on his desk.

"Hey, Jen." Jaemin smiled. "You're a bit later today huh?"

"My brother wasn't able to drive me here today. He had an important meeting with his boss." Jeno shrugged and sat down. "Have you guys met the new teacher already?"

Renjun shook his head, "But Mr. Kim did come here earlier and bid an early goodbye. He told us he's still gonna be visiting us from time to time."

"By the way Jeno," Harvey suddenly turned around. "Mark told me to tell you to take care of Hyuck while he's in Manchester."

"Why me?"

Harvey shrugged, "I don't know. I guess he trusts you that much."

"Damn, am I the only one who feels really sad that they weren't able to spend that much time together?" Jaemin asked.

"Mark's an idiot." Jeno laughed. "But it's fine. I guess it'll help them with their communication too. LDR is hard but it's harder when both of you are already used to being together that sometimes you always fight when you are apart for a certain period of time."

"Agreed." Harvey nodded. "Sometimes, in relationships, you aren't required to always be together. In a relationship, communication is one of the main keys to keep it. Specially communication for long distance relationships."

"It's kind of weird though," Jisung suddenly butted in. "We already know a lot of things about love even though we only had like 1 proper discussion about it."

"We usually learn a lot more through experiences, Jisung-ah." Jaemin fondly smiled. "And I guess it's the same case with us. We were able to learn a lot of things just by observing Mark hyung and Donghyuck. What more if it's us in their position?"

"Agreed." Chenle nodded. "I'm still sad though. Imagine all the things they could've done as a couple if only none of them were stupid."

"Nah," Jisung shook his head. "Even before they confessed, they were already acting like a couple."

"Point taken." Renjun laughed. "Mr. Kim is arriving in a minute, he said he has some special announcement to do."

"What announcement?"

"That a new member is arriving."

All of them turned around when Mr. Kim suddenly appeared behind them with a wide smile.

"Hi students," He grinned. "I'm here to announce that a new member will be added here to take over the available slot that Mark left. Don't worry too much about it though, the new member would be paired with Donghyuck and I already told Mark about it. He sounded fine with the idea."

All of them went to sit on their respective desks while Mr. Kim started taking out multiple pastel colored envelopes from his suitcase. He was humming to an unfamiliar tune that he didn't even notice the curious stares that his students were giving him.

"These envelopes I'm holding includes the photos I took of you guys for the past month while doing your activities. You guys may not have noticed though but everytime I sent you to the gym or auditorium, I make sure that a fellow student of yours get to document your activities." He smiled and neatly placed the envelopes in one side. "This will serve as my thank you gift for you  guys before I give the club back to Mr. Lee."

Jeno already forgot about Mr. Kim finally leaving the position as their club adviser. He did tell them from the start that he was just temporarily handling it for Mr. Lee. But Jeno didn't really expect that those months would pass by that fast. 

"Mr. Lee would meet you guys tomorrow. The student however would arrive here soon, he just needed to finish his class first before going here to meet you all. I can assure you that he's a very nice guy."

As Mr. Kim talked more and more and more, Renjun can't help but be curious about the new member. It's not that he didn't want someone to replace Mark's place or what, but how exactly great is this guy for Mr. Kim to start ogling about him like a love struck teenager?

"The envelopes also contains some home made sweets that I made with the help of my mom." Mr. Kim chuckled and Jaemin could just coo at him at how genuine the sentiment was. "My mom did most of the work though. I ate some of the candies left, it tasted great."

"That is honestly so sweet of you, Mr. Kim."

"Of course." Mr. Kim sighed. "I may have only handled you guys for almost 2 months but honestly, those were some of the best times I had. It's my first time teaching a different class aside from just all dancing."

"We feel honored."

Kai chuckled, "No need to be. I'll give you these envelopes later. Please remind me, okay?"

"Yes, sir."

Kai was about to speak again when the main door of their club building opened, the clanging of the bell they recently hanged being heard throughout the place. Loud steps of the new comer's footwear was heard approaching them before 5 consecutive knocks were heard.

Mr. Kim brightly smiled, "I think that's him." He nodded at the other members. "Come in."

The door knob twisted before the door opened, revealing a young man which they believed were just the same age as them.

The new comer bowed before fully the place and went to stand in the middle. He then faced the other members' looks.

"Go introduce yourself."

The younger man nodded before bowing again, his purple strands slowly covering almost his whole forehead till his eyes.

"Hi, everyone. I'm Liu Yangyang."
