Ciara
"Hey! Did you find anything?" Dan asked me as we settled down for English class.
I let a small laugh and dropped by books on the table.
"Silly! Just photos of Sal and I in his car and a note that said I should expect something during lunch," I said and shrugged.
"What I saw was kind of different. But I think they're the same photos," he said still looking worried.
"Dan, I appreciate that you care about me but I promise you that I'm okay. Really," I assured him with a smile.
"Is that you smiling?" He asked as he widened his eyes and we both laughed. "So, now you laugh," he said again. "This is a great news! You barely smile"
"I'm changing, I guess"
"How did you become friends with Sal? I heard that he avoids people going to his house. He also rents a hotel to throw a party. You know how rich his mom is," he said. A red haired girl passed beside him and gave him a high-five, ignoring me completely. Don't worry about me, I'm used to it. It's not occasional.
"I don't know if I'm his friend," I said and bit my lower lip as I remember my first kiss. Do all girls get their first kiss with their boss's son who cares less about them? Well, I don't know if he cares lass about me. The way he looked at me yesterday was different.
"What do you mean?" He asked. He wanted to say something else but was interrupted when the teacher came in. He sat next to me and winked and I nodded.
"Should I be scared?" I whispered to him, trying my best not to get caught by the teacher.
"I don't know. But you know Maddie is always up to no good," He replied in a very low voice.
The class started but I didn't hear pay attention. I tried talking to Dan but the teacher seemed to have her eyes fixed on me.
I decided to pay attention in the class and aftrt what seemed like forever, it was time for lunch. Dan offered to walk me to the cafeteria but I turned him down.
"Hey hey!" Shanya called from behind as soon as I stepped into the cafeteria.
"Hey!" I replied and she hanged her hand on my shoulder as we walked over to a table and settled down.
"Did you bring anything for lunch?" She asked with a grin.
"No, what should we buy"
"I brought lunch!" she replied.
"Uh-oh. Did you cook it. I won't tolerate my lunch to be a disaster"
"You should taste it and guess who cooked it," she said and I frowned.
"So, how are you?" She asked as she pulled her lunch from her bag.
"I'm good!" A mouth watering smell hit my nose when she opened the her plate. "What's that?" I asked. It's been quite sometime since she brought lunch from home.
"Lasanga," she replied with a wicked grin.
"Oh my jezz, your dad's recipe?" I queried super excited.
"He made them!" She replied and I almost fell off my chair in excitement. Her dad made the best lasagna in the world but he barely cooked lately. I fell in love with lasagna because of him.
"Bring it right here, girl!!" I said and pulled the bowl of Lasanga from her.
"Er.. Ci"
"You don't want to share with me?" I asked feeling bad suddenly.
