Ciara

There he was, seated on our couch.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him as I walked away from dad's embrace to stand in front of him. It felt like I've asked him that question too many times today.

He put the glass down from his lips and grinned.

"I came for you, mom asked me to pick you up," he replied and dropped the glass on the table in front of him. I felt like he was lying but how did Dad allow him in here.

I turned to look at dad, maybe he has an explanation for this. He and Alex were still standing by the door. Alex wore a big smile while dad just watched me.

"How did he get here?" I asked dad and walked up to him. Alex coughed and walked to the sitting room.

"Hi, I'm Alex, her brother," he said to Salvatore shoving me aside. Dad moved to the  kitchen and sat on the kitchen stool which was the closest to the sitting room.

"Salvatore," he replied Alex.

"I know, She's always talking about you," Alex replied him, making my eyes widen.

"If you're going to keeping talking, I think you should at least don't lie against me. I should go and get ready," I said before dashing to my room. I knew that Alex was going to tell lies against me to Salvatore. Why do I have to dealt with such an a amazing brother?

As soon as I got to my room Dad called out to me.

"You should hurry, we've got ice cream for ya"

Was he trying to bribe me?

I freshened up and went back outside. I heard the men... or males, laughing, obviously enjoying their conversation. I wanted to know what they were talking about but they stop talking as soon as I got there.

"Where's the ice cream?" I asked walking straight to the kitchen.

"On the counter," dad called while I went straight for it.

Within minutes I was ready to head out.

After gaving dad a brief hug and shooting a deadly glare at Alex( He raised a brow at me and I rolled my eyes), I was alone in the truck with Salvatore, I sat next to him on the passenger sit while he was on the driver's seat.

We both stayed in silence until he started driving.

"Your mom didn't ask you to pick me up, did she?" I asked him and he smile shifting his eyes to look at me as he drove.

"I thought you'll stay mute"

"Well, I'm not mute," I replied and he laughed. "So, did she?" I asked again.

"Why does it matter?" He replied.

"I don't know," I replied honestly, I really don't know why I was asking, I kind of felt happy that he came to pick me up without me asking for it but at the same time it felt awkward that he has been wanting to be my driver since yesterday.

"How was school?" He asked turning to a familiar road. I could sight his house from were we were.

"Good, until you ruined it," I replied and turned to look outside. I noticed the way people looked at me after the cafeteria incident. Why do they find it difficult to ind their business?

"I deserve a round of applause," he replied almost laughing while I rolled my eyes. After a moment of silence he broke it by talking about the cloud.

We pulled into the compound and alighted from his truck. The garage was bigger and fuller than I expected. I didn't get to count how many vehicles were there but I thought they were about 20 cars.
