I went to work the next day, holding the book in my hands as I got in class. We started rehearsing some sentences. I was amazed at their acting skills, especially the twins, they could even change roles for an entire day!.
It's all about pirates and treasures, so I'm the captain, since the number of students in theatre class isn't even.
"Okay, let's go Jade, start with your role as the quartermaster Keegan after i say my sentence" I said placing the book on my desk after I memorized my line.
She nodded and stood their, getting in character. "Pirate? You didn't tell me you were a pirate!" I said with a pretty convincing voice. She pretended to have a blade on my throat.
"You didn't tell me the admiral was your father, but here we are, stealing a ship together" she said in a soothing voice, smiling at my dropped jaw.
"Good Job, Baker.." I said catching my breath. Heather and Jaden were next. "We're not stealing any ship, Quartermaster Keegan.." Heather said taking jade away from me.
we continued rehearsing until the bell rang. "good Job, guys. Would any of you mind going shopping for pirate costumes with me later today?" I asked.
"Not at all, where would we find them?" Jaden asked.
"I'm not sure, I just moved last week, i know nothing here.." I crossed my arms.
"there's a shop next to the public library that's few kilometers away from here. It sells some costumes.." Jade stated, fixing her glasses in her nose, like she does all the time.
"It only sells Cinderella costumes, Jade" Jaden mocked, making Jade roll her eyes.
"If you went to the public library with me every weekend you would know that it's for halloween costumes, not Cinderella you ignorant wretch" She punched her arm lightly. I laughed at her insult then agreed that we go there to see what they would offer for our act.
"I'll Just excuse myself out of here.." Jade said, heading off to lunch, which means she's going to the library, I went there, too, just to hear her insult other kids, it's just so funny. I got my lunch that i packed and headed there as i sat on one of the tables they had that was close to the corner Jade sits in everyday.
I saw her wear her glasses and climb a ladder they had and take a fat, big book. "as I expected, Jade is here.." I turned to see few girls chatting and looking at her. They walked to her and cleared their throat, making her look up to them.
"how can i help you, Camila?" she huffed.
"we wanted to ask when the next soccer game is..we'd love to watch you kick their asses!" one of them asked.
"not anytime soon, even if it is, I won't be there. I have other things to do.." Jade said adjusting her glasses on the bridge of her nose, making them know she isn't interested to talk to them anymore
"like what? stay in this fuckery?" she held up her hand waving in the air.
"first of all, Don't you dare disrespect my library! Second of all, Miss Mendez, you are in a library, shut up!" she took off her glasses and gave her a dirty look. "Now get out before i kick your ass!".
I covered my mouth, trying not to laugh at her meanness, My brother always warned me not to get too sarcastic with people who don't have a visible sense of humor or laugh at them. "they don't take it well" he tells me. "they think you're making fun of them, because usually you are." I can't help it though.
"What's so funny Miss Gadot?" the girl said as they walked to me. "Shhhhhh!!!" Jade shushed them as she rushed to us and leaned closer to the girl.
"Do you think you're talking to your youngest cousin?? Be respectful!!" Jade said through gritted teeth. I smiled at her defense and looked back at them as they stomped their foot on their way out.
"you're so funny, but it's more of dark humor.." I said as i followed her as she sat back on the floor next to the ladder.
My brother was right, I don't think she takes my jokes that well. It's not like there's something wrong with her, she's just the quiet twin. The more mature one.
I just can't help but laugh. Even though I'm not supposed to.
"Gal!" I heard non other than Georgia yell behind me.
"Hey Jade" she greeted then turned back to me.
"Come with me to my office..I'll show you something"
Jade's POV Those brats. I'm so not coming back to the soccer team. It was a waste of my time anyways. I love it here..
I don't know why I defended Miss Gadot. She just seems nice. I believe I don't trust anyone here except for Heather and Georgia, not even Jaden, she's a dumbass
I kept reading until the bell rang, meaning lunch was over. I groaned as I placed the book back in place and went to class, again..
Gal's POV After the school day ended, I waited for them outside the school to come with me To the store Jade talked about.
The twins and heather walked to me. "I'll be driving, let's go". Jade said casually. Opening the passenger's door of her car for me.
I thanked her and got in. She walked around the car and got in, too. She started the engine and we headed to the store.
