Secret

I watched as Scarlett left and sat next to Jade who was reading her book.

We stayed silent, she did notice me, but she obviously ignored me. "Jade?.."

"Hmm"

"I know about your secret.." I whispered. At this point, I wanted to slap myself so hard. I don't know why I said that.

"What secret?" She asked, showing she clearly has a lot of secrets.

"The secret of your um, pronouns?.."

There was a moment of silence before she fixed her glasses on her nose then looked at me.
"My pronouns?..oh, that secret" she chuckled as I sensed a hint of discomfort in her voice.

"First thing, I Don't know how you knew, or actually, i don't give a single shit. Second, Do you think I'm ashamed of it? Cause if you do, you're much more of a fool than I thought you were" she smirked.

"I'm your teacher, Jade.." I rolled my eyes, sighing at her rudeness.

"So? You're still a fool..I'm not nor will I ever be ashamed of my own body. I was created like that and I'm not gonna do anything to change it..teachers aren't supposed to get in their students' business.." she sighed, looking back at her book, I think I just ruined her mood right now..

"Hey, I'm sorry, I don't even know why I said that.." I placed a hand over hers, yes, she reads with one hand.

"You're fine.."

We sat there in silence for a while, me hoping to keep myself from talking before she roasts me again..

"...I just wanna..um, make sure we're on the same page." I talked, I fucking talked. I need a tape Over my mouth right now, I just closed my eyes preparing for her to roast me again.

"Page?" A smirk appearing on her pretty face.

"Heck, we're not even in the same library.." she fixed her glasses on the bridge of her nose and looked back at the book that was in her hand. I looked at the walls covered in books.
"I'm pretty sure we are".

"Figuratively speaking" she rolled her eyes.

"You're cute, you know..those glasses really bring out your eyes.." I complimented.

"Why thank you, Miss Gadot.." she said not looking at me, like she heard people tell her this millions of times. I bet they did, cause if I can't help but compliment her, neither can people.

I wanna talk to her more, she just doesn't seem interested. I think she acts this way around everyone.

I walked few steps looking at some books.

"Hi Jade, I was wondering if I could borrow a book for a research." A nerd said as he walked closer to her.

She placed a book mark in her book and walked to the desk. "Write the name of the book here, the date of today, and sign, you have 3 days to return it, if it's not returned, I'm choking you to death" she said casually as he gulped and did what she told him.

I climbed a little ladder they had, taking some book that's cover caught my eye. I flipped through pages before I heard her bang on the desk and I lost control on my balance. I laid there on my back, groaning in pain.

I heard running next to me then saw her fall on her knees and examine me. "Are you okay?? I told you to change this fucking ladder!!" She yelled at basically nobody.

"I'm fine.." she helped me up, and her glasses weren't on, which made her look kinda weird.

"I'm..gonna take this ladder away.." she excused herself as I fixed my skirt.

I saw her carry the ladder effortlessly and throw it at some worker that was there to check everything was okay in the library.

"Get a new one!!" She walked back to her desk. I laughed at her antics and shook my head, she doesn't really care about people's feelings, she doesn't care what they think about her, which is really the best thing in her, her carelessness.

I took the book that fell with me and put it back. A lot of action happens in this library and I'm living for it. "Hey, book worm, I need a book" an annoying boy in my class said.

"Get. Out of my library" she said calmly.

"Wha-"

"GET. OUT" she said through gritted teeth. "Look. I just want a book of jokes that I can tell to my crush" he admitted.

"A book of what??" She banged one her desk again.

"Jokes?..I am so damn tired of your utter nonsense, so go educate yourself and read my favorite romance novel before you come back and talk to me!" She said kicking him out and coming back to her book. I laughed quietly at her as I came closer to her.

"Hey..I'm Sorry, I didn't mean to make you mad.." I fidgeted my hands as I looked down.

"I'm not mad.." she lifted my head up with one of her fingers which made my face turn into a different shade of red.

"You seem like you are.." I frowned as she let out a small chuckle and shook her head.

"Well. I'm not" she said as she continued reading.

"I didn't know you had a girlfriend.." I said honestly as I tucked a piece of her short hair behind her ear making her shiver.

"There's a lot of things you don't know about me, Miss Gadot. Yes, I do. She's the best. She doesn't judge me about my obsession with books which is the best thing I love about her. She's also as smart as me so I don't see why we aren't compatible.."

"You are, it's just very nice to um see the romantic side of you.." I chuckled nervously then headed to the last class for the day. Anywhere to hide from this embarrassment...
