"Vin- a6d!" Zak greeted with forced cheerfulness, giving a shaky smile.

Vincent glared at him through squinted eyes. People were staring at them curiously.

"Don't 'a6d' me, murderer!" the Frenchman hissed, as he ran up to the frightened youtuber.

Zak stumbled back a few steps, then regained his composure.

"I told you, I don't know what you're talking about.." he said nervously, unable to meet Vincent's eye.

Fans started pulling out there cellphones and pressing record. Mega seemed to break out of his daze and stepped in between the two of them, pushing Vincent back.

The detective staggered back a bit, startled at the sudden force. He looked at Mega, who was glaring back at him with disgusted eyes. Then, he gave an emotionless laugh.

"You're defending the wrong person! It's him you should be afraid of," he said, pointing at the black haired boy standing behind Mega.

Zak pulled his hoodie sleeves over his hands, in desperation for comfort. Then he  opened his mouth to speak, trying to sound confident.

"You're-.....You're being ridiculous!" he stuttered, finding what little confidence he had and walked in front of Mega to look Vincent in the eye.

The detective turned away from him, and addressed the fans watching the confrontation.

"You're all fools! You're supporting a murderer! This is the man who shot him, the man who shot BadBoyHalo!" Vincent declared in a voice so loud, even the end of the long line could hear it.

Gasps emerged from the growing crowd. Looks of confusion, worry, and sadness dawned on them as Vincent said the name, 'BadBoyHalo.' No one knew how to react, but they all we're thinking the same thing, 'He's gone mad.' Vincent spun around, back to the two boys.

"You've rejected any sort of interrogation. This wouldn't have had to happen if you weren't such a child!"

"I.." Zak started, but couldn't find the words to finish his sentence. Instead, he broke off eye contact and looked at the ground with a saddened expression. Mega started to scribble violently in his note pad.

'If you're just going to cause a scene, I suggest you leave.' The writing was hurried and panicked. Even through all the stress, Mega still found himself refusing to speak. Vincent only got angrier.

"Stay out of this mute! You have no right to tell me that. I am trying to solve a murder case, but it seems like nobody cares anymore!" He threw a look at the fans, making some at the front of the line wince.

"Have you all just forgotten Darryl? Do you just want to live your lives not knowing what happened to him?!" he shouted in a high pitched angry tone.

Tears welled up in a young fan's eyes. Some of the phones, still recording the scene, started to shake.

"It's different! You're just mindlessly insisting it's me, when-"

"LISTEN YOU STUPID SELL OUT! IF IT 'WASN'T YOU' THEN EXPLAIN THE GUN, EXPLAIN THE TAPE, EXPLAIN LOOKING LIKE THE KILLER. OH MY MISTAKE, YOU CAN'T. AND YOU REFUSE TO EXPLAIN!" Vincent bellowed, stepping closer to the supposed killer with every word.

Zak stood his ground, no longer displaying the fear and sadness he was feeling deep inside.

"No! You listen to me! You have no-"

It was Mega who cut him off this time with a hand over his mouth. The brown haired boy pushed him to the side and held up his notepad so the detective could read it. 'We don't want any trouble. He'll happily answer any questions you have, and then you can be on your way'
