Harry was currently getting his hair and makeup done for the next show of his tour. The makeup crew had a lot to do to cover up the bruises that were on his face. The bruises that were on his arms, legs and back were easy to cover up with his clothes, so he didn't have to worry about that. The only thing he HAD to worry about, were the bruises on his face. When he had walked into his dressing room to get ready earlier, his hair and makeup team looked at him in shock and had started asking him questions. He couldn't tell them the truth, so he lied.

"Oh Harry what happened to you?"

"Oh um I was playing tennis and the ball kept hitting me in the face really hard."

"Oh ok, well you need to not hit the ball so hard next time. You have some pretty dark bruises from the ball."

"Ok I'll be more careful next time I promise."

He was relieved that they believed his lie, Harry has never been a good liar. He is starting to get really good at lying recently, which he isn't proud of at all. Harry ended up sitting in the makeup chair a lot longer than usual because his makeup crew had to put way more makeup on him to cover up the bruises.
Harry blamed it on himself though, he knew that if he had just listened to John and did what he told him right away. He wouldn't have been hit, and the bruises wouldn't have happened. It was all his fault, every beating he has gotten was his fault. He could see John watching him out of the corner of his eye. He had a proud smirk on his face while he was watching the makeup crew put layer after layer of makeup on Harry's face to cover up the bruises he beat onto his face.
Once his makeup was done, Harry slipped the battery pack for his in ears on. He then put his in ears in his ears and grabbed his microphone, waiting for his cue to go on stage. While he was waiting he felt Johns hand on his right shoulder, making him tense up. John put his lips next to Harry's ear so that only Harry could hear what he was saying to him.

"You better not mess anything up while you are on stage."

"I'll put on a great show I promise."

"You better, when I direct you to do something you better do what I say got it?"

"Y yes sir"

"Good now put on a great show."

John smiled the most fake genuine smile he could, trying to make it believable for the crew members that were watching them. Harry ran up on stage and started singing as soon as he saw his cue, wanting to get away from John as fast as he could. He put on the best show he could, wanting to keep his fans happy even though he wasn't. This is all for them, I'm doing this for them, Harry thought to himself as he sang.
Harry could see John in front of the stage, guarding him from the fans that were wanting to climb on stage and hug him. If only they knew that the person that was protecting him from them, was beating him everyday after each concert. He couldn't let the fans know that, it would hurt them to know that he was being beaten. Harry put in a brave face for them, seeing the fans is enough to put a huge genuine smile on his face.
Harry was having so much fun on stage that he wasn't watching John, who was motioning frantically for him to go off stage for a minute. That was a huge mistake that he was going to pay for later. When he had finally realized, Harry quickly made his why offstage. Wondering what John had wanted him offstage for. He walked over to John when he saw him to find out what was wrong.

"What's wrong John?"

"Your make up is coming off because of your sweat, the fans were about to see the bruises."

Harry's eyes widened, quickly walking over to the makeup chair and getting his makeup touched up. That was a close one, who knows how the fans would have reacted if they saw the bruises. It definitely wouldn't have ended well. He ran back onstage to continue with the concert, putting on the best concert he could despite everything that's going on.
If only Harry knew what was coming when he got off stage and onto his tour bus.
