I sat in my bed and took deep breaths
"Deep breaths Janet." I mumbled to myself. I didn't wanna take a break and maybe I was taking the action to far.
Selena - Janet?
I took a deep breath
"Yes?"
Selena - Are you..okay?
Janet - I'm fine.
I hate she cared so much
Selena - You don't have to lie. Go to his house, talk to him and I'll go to the park with the boys and make the popsicles.
Janet - Really?
Selena - Yeah! Anything for a my girl.
She hugged me
Selena - I gotta go fix breakfast though.
I felt bad for making her do stuff cause after all she is my guest
Janet - Okay.
She smiled and walked out. I took a shower and put some clothes on and was about to head out
Jermaine - You not coming to the game?
Janet - It's not even a real game.
I rolled my eyes and walked out
Jermaine - Okay but you could still come and support.
Janet - Fine.
He walked back into the house. I walked over to his house and was hesitant to knock but I did and a girl came to the door. We just broke up?
Maria - Hi!
Janet - Hi...?
Maria - Are you the mail lady?
Janet - No, I'm here to speak to prince.
Maria - Oh..okay he's right downstairs.
I nodded and walked inside and walked downstairs and he was playing the piano writing in his book.
Janet - Hi..
He turned around and gave me a toothless smile
Prince - Wassup.
I sat beside him on the piano bench and watched him write
Janet - Were you being serious?
Prince - About?
Janet - The break..
Prince - No. I just didn't feel like dealing with the whole "you were cheating" and stuff so I said that to get you off my back.
Janet - It would've been nice if you talked to me.
Prince - We can talk now.
He closed the book and faced me. I was silent while he rested his head on his hand.
Prince - You gonna speak-
Janet - Who was that?
Prince - A family friend. She's staying here for a while so I'm letting her sleep in the tornado shelter and I sleep down here.
He got yo and walked to the room and signaled me to come inside the room with him. He opened the door and it's well kept, small but looked really comfortable. He grabbed a basketball and flopped on the bed. I sat beside him while he through the ball in the air
Prince - Speak.
Janet - I don't know what to say.
I played with my fingers
Prince - Lay back.
I turned my face up and laid back beside him
Prince - You trust me right?
Janet - Yeah, of course.
Prince - so you know that I wouldn't cheat on you even if I was offered to run the world.
I felt a little smile creep on my face.
Prince - There go that smile.
I let out a soft giggle
Prince - I love you.
I smiled
Janet - I love you too
