I woke up feeling energized. I was excited about today and I'm sure you could tell by just looking at me. We're in Jamaica, our first day of an escape from reality. I'm choosing to move forward from what happened at the airport with Alex because I talked it out with Harry and Sarah. I'm just going to forget Alex is even on the same island as me. I get ready quickly, choosing to wear a blue beach dress and a white bikini top and bottom under, and make my way to the kitchen to make some food.
(Sophia's outfit)
When I enter, it's empty. Everyone must be sleeping. It was pretty early, especially for the day after a 10-hour flight. I decide I want pancakes, noticing the kitchen was fully stocked, and it was one of the few things I can make. I feel decent enough to make some for everyone. I may be closed off and against friends, but I do really like to do nice things for others and I feel like I owe it to all the people here. Jeff and Harry hired me and the rest are my bandmates, including my sister. As I'm making the pancakes, I hear footsteps walking into the kitchen. I turn and see it's Harry, looking too good for someone who just woke up. I make sure to control my thoughts, though, I don't want another incident like the one on the plane.
"Good morning, Harry." I say, turning back around to focus on the pancakes.
"You're making pancakes?" He says. His voice sounds even deeper in the morning. Imagine waking up to that.
"Mhm." I nod, taking another finished pancake onto the pile of about 4 now.
"Those are all for you?" He points and the stack I'm creating.
I laugh. "No. Is it hard to believe I'm making this for everyone?"
"A little." I turn to give him an annoyed look. I can be a lot of things but I'm not mean. "Kidding, Sophia." He laughs. He moves closer and serves himself a pancake. "One new thing I learned about you today: You're sweet."
I smile. "I am." I finish off a couple more pancakes and everyone slowly makes their way to the kitchen.
I sit opposite Harry. I start to dig into my pancakes and I can't help but feel very happy and proud of myself. Food always tastes better when you make it in my opinion. Or at least you force it in your head that it tastes better since you spent all that time making it. But, I genuinely felt like these were as good as they seemed! I swallow and I smile at myself. Maybe I should learn to cook more. Okay, relax Sophia. One good batch of pancakes and you think you're comparable to Gordon Ramsay. I look up with the same proud smile and to find out Harry's opinion.
"Do you like it?" I ask eagerly.
He takes a bit and swallows, a smile growing on his face. "You look lovely this morning, Sophia."
Lovely? No! Tell me about the pancakes. "Oh god, do they suck?" I tell him with a worried expression on my face.
"They're like you, lovely."
