Something happened, oh so long ago, that changed the fate of humanity for generations to come. It would change the course of history forever, ripping through time like a dulled knife through fabric; that change was named Clay. Or as may would come to know him as: Dream.
Dream was, well, for lack of a better word, unique. He was born with a gift, like many others, but unlike those nameless others, this gift was powerful, stronger then anything before its time, it was prized and sought after like a rare gem or priceless painting. The rich and powerful wanted the claim this gift for their own twisted and sick desires, world leaders debated and devised plans behind each others backs to acquire the power. Not once did they ever consider the consequences of their actions. They only focused on the now, the power they could have over other countries and how they could weaponize the child, how they could twist his mind to serve them and their wants and needs.
Guess they never considered that their little weapon would runaway, who would? Why? When they "gave him everything he ever wanted!" Well they didn't, surprise surprise to literally no one with even a half baked sense of empathy.
What is this power you might be asking? Well, it's shapeshifting. "Har har," you might be saying "what's so special about that? You've implied there are other people with powers, surely this isn't new." Well my impatient reader, while it is true other people have powers, and that shapeshifting isn't new, what is new and very, well, unique about this particular shapeshifter is that it is dueled. Dream has a duel power set, a very rare occurrence on its own, and usually when duel sets occur both powers are weaker then average, so that they don't overload the user, but Dream's set was different, as you've heard plenty from me by now.
Dream's powers were Shapeshifting and something known as "Puppeting". (No not that kind. Get your head out of the gutter before people start thinking you're Pennywise you clown.) The only drawbacks to his powers are that it takes in incredible amount of energy to do either of the formerly mentioned powers, each coming in with about five hours of sleep needed for a one hour use session.
------------------------------
Dream:
-Shapeshifting: He can transform into anyone or thing he has touched. He can't be seen doing it and if he transforms into a person then the person he is disguising as can see through his illusion.
-Puppeting: He can control anyone he wants like a puppet, go figure, but it takes a lot of concentration and if someone cuts the strings that connect Dream to his victim then he would loos control of them although the victim would fall unconscious, rendering them useless anyways since he can't control the dead or unconscious.
George and Sapnap are entrusted with finding the runaway "prize", not knowing the prize is their old friend from the capture ward.
George:
- Aquakinesis: The ability to manipulate water and it's many forms. George carries a small container of water with him at all times, this has earned him the nickname Katara from his friend Sapnap.
Sapnap/Nick:
-Pyrokinesis: They telekinetic ability to manipulate fire. Sapnap, like almost all other duel power users, can only use this to an extent as his pyrokinesis weaker then a normal users although it is the stronger one of his set.
-Clairvoyance: The telekinetic power to gain information about an object, person, location, or physical event through extrasensory perception. He can find anyone, thing or place within a 150 mile radius.

Once certain of his freedom Dream swore an oath to protect those unfortunate enough to end up in the training camps and capture wards. He promised to carry the oath until his dying breath and final heartbeat. He would bring justice and closure to all the families stripped of their children. He would end those camps even if it look his life to do it because, by god, if the screams were to fall on deaf ears then this dying world would fall with them.
This was inspired by a coffee high five am me while listening to the song Ms. Jackson by Panic at the disco. TW's will be stated before the beginnings of any chapters that may need them.
