"So...I'm a demigod?" I asked as we made our way to Battle Practise.

"You can shapeshift," Alex said. "So I would assume you're a child of Loki...if I was the kind of person to assume anything of anyone."

"I know a fair bit of Norse Mythology," I replied. "Loki is the only shapeshifting god I know of...though not the only shapeshifter."

"Who else is there," Magnus asked.

"Utagrd-Loki," I said. "An insanely powerful Jotnar King who is also a master sorcerer and illusions."

"We've met," Magnus said, making a sour face. "Me and Alex had to bowl against his Thanes once."

"Then we were chased out of Jotunheim after humiliating them," Alex commented with a grin. "Good times. And it's actually Alex and I."

"I was just about to say that," I smiled.

"Speaking of Jotunheim," Mallory said, pointing to the landscape in front of us.

"This is Battle Practise!?" I asked.

"No," Magnus growled. "This is Jotunheim. Someone is messing with us. Again"

"This place is beautiful," I gasped. The enormous mountains and trees created the perfect atmosphere for relaxing. The river reflected the world so well that I couldn't believe it wasn't real. But then I saw what was on the other side of the river.

A pitched battle was taking place among an army of people with different weapons. But then I saw something through the mist coming down from the mountains. "What's that?" I asked.

"What- HEY! What the Hel are you doing!" Mallory yelled after me. But I was already wading through the waist-deep river.

"I guess he likes the look of those Reeds," Alex said. I couldn't stop myself from smiling at the joke, even though it wasn't even funny. I made it to the other side walked closer to the cloud of mist.

I wasn't sure what it was. But I felt an insistent pull from deep within. Then I saw it. A dark humanoid shape standing in the mist, but whoever it was, was the size of a mountain.

I was just about to step into the mist when I was pulled back by a hand on my shoulder. I turned to see Alex staring at me with a confused look. "What are you doing? Battle  is back that way!" He jabbed a thumb over his shoulder.

I opened my mouth to answer, but the mist coiled around the two of us and we were suddenly lost in the white haze.
