he was swiftly walking along the road, getting weird looks from the passing humans.
but he didn't care. he didn't give a damn about them. the only thing he cared about was the relationship between jaehyun and himself, and the feelings they shared.

when did he start having feelings for his human?
the human he's supposed to find a soulmate for?
the boy reached a deserted children's park, slowly walking towards the rusted swings and carefully sitting down on one of them.
his eyes trained themselves on the sky, the place where his kind lived.

tears gathered in his eyes, before gracefully falling down his cheeks, the liquid shining under the sunlight.
his eyes still stayed on the blue sky above, head rested against the metal chain, as time slowly passed by. as children came to the park with their parents, as they played up to hearts fill, as new relationships formed right then and there, as the bright and bubbly children's laughter slowly died down and so did the sun.
he really didn't care that he had left home in the morning and didn't go back until late in the evening.

he got of the swing, shoes slightly playing with the grass beneath as the man started making his way back to the place, where his heart was.
he was going back. he can't stay with him and let him hurt right in front of his eyes.
the wind blew coldly, making doyoung shiver, but the only thing doyoung had in mind was getting back to jaehyun.
the boy reached the familiar looking house, before going up the stairs and into the house, not even bothering to knock.
and there he was, seated on the couch, tissues beside him and hands wiping away the tears.
jaehyun gasped silently when he saw doyoung standing there, with a guilty expression.
"doyoung where were y-"
"i'm going back jaehyun. i can't stay here anymore."
"no. no! doyoung please listen to me. i'm sorry that i said that. i'm sorry that i made you uncomfortable. i-"
"jaehyun. it isn't about you making me feel like that. it's about me not able to find someone for you properly. i've failed in my duty as your guardian angel."
"no doyoung. please don't-"
"i thought my work here was done when taeyong came along. he's the one for you. he's-"
"no doyoung! he's not the one for me! do you know that he was cheating on me all this time with his bestfriend jr? do you know that he called me a few hours back when you weren't here to let me know? do you know that he just said a simple sorry and then cut the call?"
"i'm so sorry jaehyun i didn't kn-"
"i don't need your sorry. i don't need a sorry doyoung. i just need you. just stay with me. please."
doyoung couldn't help but stop his tears at those vulnerable words from jaehyun, who himself was breaking down on the couch.
he moved back a little when jaehyun got up and walked to him, hands drying his tears.
the elder felt himself being pulled away into jaehyun's arms, the latter resting his head on doyoung's shoulder.
"1 week. stay with me for just 1 week. and after that, if you still don't want to be here with me, you can go. i will let you go. just 1 week kim doyoung. and during this time, i will show you how much i love you. please."
the house fell silent as doyoung closed his eyes peacefully at the warmth of jaehyun's arms around him, before sliding his own hands around the younger and pulling him much more closer to him.
"one week jaehyun. in this one week, make me realise that i could be happy with you for the rest of my life. make me stay."
their bodies were molded together, but never have they ever felt so far away from each other.
and now, jaehyun was going to change that.
jaehyun was going to give his everything to the man in his arms, and make him stay right there.
right there in his mind, his arms and in his heart.
