The next day was a long one. I had radiation on treatment and multiple injections. It might hurt now but I am hoping in the end it will pay off. Being a cancer kid sucks. As I was looking out the window a boy caught my eye. He was tall. Probably almost six feet. He had bright blue eyes. he was bald, but then again, so am I. I took a glance at the balloon and then looked for the attractive stranger again, but I couldn't seem to find him.
As I lay in my bed I heard a knock at the door. It was another one of the nurses, her name is Patricia. she was nice, but she has no sense of personal space.
"There is a visitor here for you Marie" she called. Then she walked out of the room. then something unexpected happened.
"Hello beautiful" the attractive stranger said as he walked into my room.
"Uh um heyyyy" I awkwardly said. Always being in the hospital, I had no experience in talking to boys especially not attractive ones.
"My name is Nathan and I couldn't help but notice how pretty you are and I had to come introduce myself"
"My name is Marie" I said to him. I couldn't believe this was happening!!!
"A beautiful name for a beautiful girl" he told me with a smile. "Well Marie, I was wondering if you would like to go on a date with me tomorrow?"
"I would love to, but I am not permitted to leave" I told him with a heavy heart.
"That is no problem, we can have the date here" he told me excitedly.
"Ok, I'll see you tomorrow Nathan."
"I'll see you tomorrow Marie." then he left.
I cannot believe that I have a date with Nathan!! He is so cite and sweet and his bright blue eyes are mesmerizing!! I am so excited to see him again. thing have been really looking up for me since I saw that red balloon.
