The next morning came with a soothing feeling for Manik the pain he had gone through last night has been washed away with the gentle breeze blowing over his face , it took time for his eyes to settle with the sudden light but soon it adjusted to its original form acknowledging his surrounding.

His brows lift on its own  seeing himself in a disoriented form his long legs were half on the hand rest of the large sofa and half hanging in air , using his hands he uplifted his body in sitting position . "Damn my back " he complained to himself rubbing his back like a 80 year old man. He could use some more sleep to get rid of his sleepiness and back pain , but definitely not in this sofa . He stood up  on his toes  while rubbing his eyes he moved towards the bedroom passing by the kitchen to see the countertop perfectly cleaned and everything on its place he could have admired more but the voice coming from the bedroom broke his trance.

Confusion is clear on his face , this isn't his place he concluded but he also couldn't make himself out of this place his feets moved on its own accord towards the bedroom from where a sweet but confident voice was coming . With each steps he remembered everything happened last night how he showed up at Nandini's doorsteps ,how she took care of him despite being a stranger , she deserves a  ' thank you ' atleast keeping it in mind he stopped at the door which was wide opened and there she was  , surrounding with lots of papers and files  , sitting in front of a laptop on her bed and did he saw how cute she looked with her black framed glasses on top of her tiny nose . She was probably on a video conference related to her work because her posture was so rigid he could easily differentiate between this  Nandini and the one who took care of him , this one looks more sincere and professional nothing like the girl he witnessed last night or the other times.

His staring session stopped when his brown orbs met with hers , they stared at each other's for  a couple of minutes until Nandini realised that she wasn't supposed to stare at him like a mad women and luckily the voice coming from her headphone pulled her wondering eyes back on the screen. For Manik he didn't even know why he was studying her each and every move ,the way she talked professionally ,the way her hands moves , the way she occasionally adjust those glasses over her nose .. everything he noticed everything but stills his eyes doesn't move from her like she is a magnet which is pulling all the wrong strings of his heart.

Nandini took a deep breath composing herself a little bit and carefully placed her laptop on the other side of bed after closing it.
She could feel his gaze over her but couldn't understand what she is supposed to do in this situation. It's not a usual day you wake up and find yourself in a intimate position with a person next door not forgetting not a mare person but a famous person with millions of admirers who can any time pop up on your telivision screen and can sweep you out of your feet with a charming smile and if she isn't wrong his actual smile is also the same just a bit of difference he doesn't smile that much or may be he does but not with her.

"I just came to say hii .. I mean bye " she looked at him when he said those words breaking her trance once again . " How are you now " she asked remembering his condition of last night while he lean against the door frame with his hand folded on his front , a dominant position she might add.

"I am good , thank to you I didn't intended to disturb you but I also didn't knew to whome to go at that condition" he mumbled in lower tone trying to come up with good words to make her understand his sincerity. "You can came to me anytime" before she could stop her self the words slip out of her toung making both their eyes bigger in size " I mean when..ever you need help I'll be happy to be  .you know help in anyway I can " Nandini literally wanted to curse   herself it felt like her mouth is out of her control but that smile which he gave her calmed her heart a bit.
