Sacrifices - Book 4 - Completed

I was in pain, for the next three days. My body was on fire, my heart was aching. Jacob told me Paul was in just as much or even more pain. I hadn't believed him, but I couldn't argue. I didn't want to – even if I did, I couldn't. I kept Edward out of my head, Alice wouldn't let me be by myself, not until Bella went into Labor. I sat outside on the porch because of the blood. It was only me, Jasper, Rosalie, Alice and Edward. Carlisle, Esme and Emmett had gone to feed. I stayed in my human disguise, pinching my nose, as I leaned down squeezing my eyes shut. Seth was in his wolf form and he had his head in my lap. His snout nuzzled my stomach.

"Here they come." Alice said, coming out of the house with Jasper and Edward, I got to my feet

"Are you sure about this?" Jasper frowned at me,

"I still love him, but. I can tell, I can feel it," I let out a shaky breathe,

"The Imprint Bond was broken, after she became a Vampire; the bound was weakened and this form of betrayal, Paul's inner wolf doesn't believe her to be their mate anymore." Edward explained, as Sam's pack showed up

"Leave. Bella is dead, there is no reason for you to be here." I glared at Sam,

"They know. They're here for Reneseme." Edward clenched his fists,

"You're not going to lay a hand on her. You'll have to kill me first!" I hissed, glaring harshly at him

The fighting started, Leah and Jacob were nowhere to be found. I didn't bother looking for them, I had to protect my niece. The only piece of Bella I have left. I lunged at Sam, ignoring the others. If he got taken down, then the others would probably flee. But, Brady had chomped my middle and threw me at the tree and off of Sam. I let out a gasp of pain in surprise and before I could get killed, Jacob tackled Collin away from me. Esme, Emmett and Carlisle showed up just in time, Esme helping me to my feet. Both of us going back into the fight, until Leah came out, she had imprinted on Renesme which got the fighting to stop; but...Seth whimpered, going down to the ground and crawling over to me. I understood why, when I felt liquid going down my leg. No...no, no! 

"Artemis..." Esme gasped in shock and horror, at the realization of why I was bleeding

"I didn't think so either...Carlisle?" Edward looked to Carlisile, voicing the wolves thought,

Anger, was all I felt, but calmed down after Brady whimpered and crouched down like Seth did.  Alice knelt beside me and wrapped her arms around my shoulders. Hugging me.

"Why didn't you say anything?!" Paul yelled at me, after he changed back into his human form, he had went into the woods and came back with shorts on,

The others did the same thing, everyone knew it was Paul's. Renesme's all I have left of Bella...I couldn't let her die. I grabbed onto Alice's arms, I couldn't cry, not while I don't have my disguise up. Jasper sent a wave of calm my way, I squeezed my eyes shut, keeping myself from pushing back. 

"Sleep," Carlisle ran his hand through my hair,

I put up my human disguise, and let the exhaustion take over my body as I went unconsious.
