The entire throne room, or Locus throni, is completely dead. With a silence that says more than a thousand words.

A deep silence that creates the strong sensation of making any noise before the intense quietness fills your bones, making them shiver in a silent fright but, in spite of everything, it's just silence.

Commodus is sitting on the throne with his eyes closed and his big paw on his face, can't help inhaling and exhaling loudly. His paws are shaky and his head is burning. His son has just left running a few minutes ago and he is feeling terrible.

But, what else I can do with him? He's not a kitty anymore, then why doesn't he understand?, Commodus quietly thinks, even with the company of a few senseless murmurs.

Commodus's head burns even more, burning in thoughts he no longer wants to think about but he can't stop either. Lucius, The Snow Leopard, son of Emperor Commodus, who doesn't know how to fight but perfectly know how to su-

"Why are you so ruff with him?" Sings a soft melodious voice, making Commodus give a small jump, killing, at last, all his incoherent thoughts in a second, before looking over his right shoulder.

"Vita, It's just. . . I just want him to be a good Emperor" Replies Commodus, darting the look to the floor.

Vita is a Snow leopard, like her son, dressing a white stola and a shining golden necklace. She quietly approaches her husband, perfectly understanding how he's feeling. And It's not the first time Commodus had a fight with his son.

She carefully rests a paw on his shoulder, shaking it softly a couple of times with a comfortable grin on her face "He is still young"

Commodus rolls his eyes to his wife, making her melodious chuckle begin ringing at a pleasant tone that could easily make someone sleep with a small lullaby "Okay, maybe not too young, but he's confused. He's worried about other things that you may not see important".

Commodus sighs lightly, looking at the other side, resting his heavy paw on his wife's. Vita rests her other soft paw over the Panther's "He will be a good Emperor. I trust in him, and you should too".

"I do trust in him! . . . it's only. . . the fact that he's—"

Vita retreats both of her paws, quickly raising slightly her voice over her husband's "Why you always have to come with that? He'll be a great Emperor as how he is and you should believe in him, at least once".

Commodus stays staring at the floor.

Everything goes back to the dead silence like how it was before, not even the sound of the wind or the torches, just silence. A deep silence that Commodus finally interrupts clearing his throat to come back at his authority tone "Tomorrow is coming Et stellas. Please tell Lucius to prepare himself"

Vita giggles again, clenching her hands in front of her, giving a few steps back "I think you should tell him, he's your son too".

The Emperor chuckles, rolling his eyes to his wife one more time, giving her the 'so funny' look. "Okay," Commodus stands up from the throne, making a stop to inhale, and finishes exhaling the "I will".

Vita grins clapping her paws, raising them in the air in an exciting way "I'll go with Tatiana, then you can tell me how was it" and with that, she makes her way to the big entrance of the room. She silently opens a door before vanishing like a shadow that has never been there.

Commodus stays standing, right in front of the throne, thinking about a lot of things. Thinking about his family, his legacy, his Empire.

And with a last sigh, he makes his way outside of the Locus throni.
