I wanted to draw the Maryland statehuman cuz i'm //biased//

and there wasn't a consistent design for this Maryland if mine soooo

we get to make our own >:)

so for the gender i just looked up whether Maryland's population was mainly male or female
it was female so there's that

for clothes i saw a few different designs and i also looked up what Maryland was known for. Literally the first thing was that Maryland was known for their Blue Crabs (which i personally do not like lol)
so we gotta include that somewhere-

a few designs had a blue crab on the shirt so let's do that-

Maryland would be a big fisher because it is also known for fishing, so that gives us the basic outfit.

But also they were one of the original thirteen colonies, the seventh to become an independent state so they'd be one of the older states.

Oh and they'd also be short because like they are the 42nd smallest state in the whole of America BUT they have the 19th biggest population SO they'd probably have a big personality and be an extrovert.

They'd love the beach a lot and be best friends with Virginia, North + South Carolina, and Georgia because they were the original Southern colonies.

They probably refer to any one outside of the original thirteen colonies as "kid". Like they might say "watch it kid" instead of "watch it [insert name**]".

They would be very proud of their flag though; literally everyone ik has a t shirt with the flag of Maryland on it-

They would also get annoyed when someone pronounced their name wrong. (It's mariland, not mary land).
