~A Goat Man?~

Julian POV:

My eyes followed the pacing woman around the shop, occasionally taking a sip from my freshly brewed herbal tea. The silence thickens with ever-growing tension, the only sound being her footsteps on the wooden floorboards. Y/N hasn't spoken a word since I got here. Only a few minutes ago I was dragged from a game of black jack in the Rowdy Raven, pulled into Asras shop and launched a cup of tea in my hands... and still not a peep out of her.

I was leaning on the counter, and in an attempt to gain attention I aggressively cleared my throat. "Ahem-"
No reply...
You could see the deep thoughts shrouding her E/C eyes.
"Ahem eugh ahem-?"
Once again, nothing. Something must be troubling her...

I spotted the bell on the counter and repeatedly rammed it it. Y/N jumped and her head darted towards my direction. She gave a waver of a smile which I bounced back with a smirk. "Sorry- did I frighten you out of your deep, dark contemplation?" She shakes her head while trying to hide a smile.
"Just a bit yes... I'm guessing that was an attempt to gain my attention?"
"Well... the third times always the charm~"

Y/N leaned on the counter next to me, sighing heavily "I'm sorry Jules... I just dragged you here with no context then ignored you for a good 10 minutes." Her delicate S/T hand caressed the other, almost like there was an invisible mark. If she wasent making it clear before, there's definitely something bothering her...

"Dont worry darling, there's clearly something problematic on your mind. I don't mind if you need me here to help calm your nerves... though I would prefer if you gave me some clue of what's going on." Y/N looked down, biting her thumb. Seeing her like this isn't pleasant. Yes, I've seen her stressed and over whelmed but this is not normal at all.

I want to wrap her in my arms and whisper sweet nothings... for her just to be mine would be a dream... but it's painstakingly hard to get her alone, especially when Asra is constantly watching over her like a guard dog. But lucky for me, Asra is on his little trips most of the time which gives me time with Y/N. I could look into her gorgeous eyes for eternity... even her flaws are perfect. These emotions I have for her are stronger than when I met Asra, though all relationships aren't the same. I need to tell Y/N my love for her. But what if she rejects me... does she want to be in love with a fugitive!? I am in danger as long as I stay is Vesuvia, do I want to drag her into my outlaw lifestyle... Put her in danger?

"So, what if I told you ghosts and spirits exist?" I was dragged out of my endless spiraling thoughts by Y/Ns sweet voice. She was staring at me with hopefully eyes. Ghosts? I raised my eyebrow and leaned closer in interest. "Depends what context your using them for... but usually I just believe them to be folklore." Y/N messed with her hands, and started to say a sentence, then took it back. I took her hand and caressed it. What are you doing Devorak-? "You know you can tell me anything right? No matter how strange or crazy it may seem."
"I know I know... but this may seem more crazy than what you might be expecting."

Y/Ns POV:

I felt my face raise a blush as he took my hand. I could feel the tension thick in the air that Julian was trying to ease for my sake. But should I tell him is the question, this is dangerous and hardly believable. And to think I only went to the palace today to give Countess Nadia a reading...

"I'll just start from the beginning then, to give you 'context'." No take backs now Y/N. "This morning I was summoned to the palace to peform a card reading for Countess Nadia. Things went well until I got lost on my way back, still in the palace. I found a dark corridor, completely abandoned. Cobwebs, dust, peeling paint, it was unusual to see in the palace. I would've just walked past but I felt a presence coming from there, so strong I couldn't help but check it out. I opened the door at the end of the corridor and... I believe I found myself into Count Lucios bed chamber..."
