Second Chance

The party had stopped ,leaving me to take charge on my Alpha duties . I really do have party crushers in my family .

My gaze landed on my Aunt who was sipping her mint tea steady and with a pinkie out ,you would think she is a British. Maybe she may pass to be British . She got that thick accent which sometimes just makes me laugh . Then her dressing code , let's not even start about it . One would think she is straight from the Queen's wardrobe .

"Why you guys ? " I pressed the burning question out .

Apollo spoke up ." She sent us all three here for a reason . Mostly on your birthday . Let's just say we are you birthday present ."

A sick smirk spread to my face . "So where is the ribbon I untie or should I use my claws to rip it out of your bones" the sarcasm was thick and quite sadistic.  I mostly felt anger lying on all my words .

When am furious or angry I always get sarcastic .

Apollo looked at me with his innocent face which was always blank sometimes ,then answered me . It's like he didn't get that I was being sarcastic . " We can get into a box and you can untie us through the ribbon you have been talking about . "

No body stopped  him . I felt one of my eyebrows lift and just stared at him blankly .

" You know , my father and I  may be the ones who get what my mother is saying. They may be two of them but it's funny how they don't make sense sometimes . Mostly a time like this . I want to bring the moon down and or burst some flames out of the sun but I can't ,cause I don't want to be to extra or dramatic . " I caught my breath

Then I continue ," but one think I know she is fixing a mess you guys did or one of you did ." the looks they gave me gave it all away . They did something and they brought my mother to clean it all up . How wonderful..

I stood up from my seat and looked at everyone . I was so furious but I didn't want to lash out . " Am going to sleep . If anyone needs me ,call me ." I walked with firm steps up the stair and to the second floor where my room is .

When I stepped into my room away from preying eyes I let my shoulder relax . They were so tense and felt all my muscle sore . I walked to the bathroom and filled the hot tub with hot water . And added some strawberry body wash to make bubbies in the water .

Since I only had a dress on . I stripped  it off and lifted my leg to taste the temperature of the water with my leg . I removed my leg and placed it on the black carpet below me . I stripped all my undergarments and settled into the cosy water that waited for me with wide arms. I sighed as my tense muscles relaxed . With the cosy feeling around me I drifted to sleep .

I woke up with the sound of a baby crying . I was confused with my surrounding but it all come back to me that I slept in the tub . And the water was now cold . I got out and took one of the towels and dried myself then took a pink robe that was hanging on the rack.

I opened the door and saw Yale was  crying on April's arms while she was crocking him back and forth . When I walked in the room and she spotted me ,I could see she was relieved that I had the right timing . I came and picked him up from her arms .

" What's wrong with him ? " I brought one of my arms to check if he has a fever .

"He just started crying non stop when we passed the passed the pack boundaries . We didn't even reach the human city . " April explained  and just looked as if she felt bad that this had happened .

" Hey . It's not your fault okey .  " I told her . " Please bring me one of the pack doctor . Any "

As April left I sat on my bed and faced Yale .
