Author's Note: This story ties into my Criminal Minds series, hence why Michelle Borth doesn't play Catherine Rollins, and why Cassie and Derek are in the cast list. In my universe, if you haven't read any of my Criminal Minds stories, Catherine doesn't exist (obviously), though Cassie will still take her place, to an extent, of course. A major difference is that Steve and Cassie aren't dating and never did date each other in the first place. The three of them (Ally, Steve, and Cassie) grew up together. Also, for timeline purposes, and the fact that I think it's stupid that Five-0 and Criminal Minds never did any crossovers, I'm setting this around Season 6 of Criminal Minds. We're also ignoring the fact that Alex O'Loughlin played the unsub in an episode of Season 4, or that the guy who played Ian Doyle also played that mafia contract killer Valentine in Five-0.
