The Press Briefing Room

Jack and Jackie sat on the left hand-side of the stage with Bobby and Ethel on the right and President Obama in the middle. As the press took photos Jackie fixed with her dress, she was fidgety.

President Obama stood at the podium. “Well you’re probably as shocked as me. I certainly never thought I’d be sharing a stage with the famous Kennedy brothers. Take it easy on them, but they’ll try to answer your questions as best they can.” He said before sitting down.

Ethel glanced around the audience, most of the family were watching in the residence the only person standing at the side was Rory. Jack took a sip of water as the reporters got organised with questions.

“Mr. President, Mrs. Kennedy,” The reporter said. “How different do you find 2015 compared to the 1960s?”

Jack looked at his wife before turning to the reporter. “Well, you have internet and can shop online and you have something called an Iphone which has a good game called Candy Crush, it’s very different. It’ll be a relief to go back home, everything is different.”

“Do you agree Mrs. Kennedy?”

Jackie nodded.

“Mr. Kennedy?” A reporter said looking at Bobby.

He nodded. “Yes?”

“Did you kill Marilyn Monroe?”

Ethel stiffened up at the name, as did Jackie. They looked at Bobby intently.

“Marilyn Monroe isn’t dead.” He replied calmly.

“Yes she is. She died in August 1962.”

“Well it was July 1962 when we left.”

“Oh…” The reporter shut up.

“Mrs. Kennedy?” A woman exclaimed looking at Jackie. She looked up dreading this. She was shaking. “Yes?”

“Is it true your husband cheated on you frequently including Marilyn Monroe and you wanted to divorce him?”

Jackie’s mouth dropped open and her eyes grew wide. “Certainly not, my husband loves me very much.”

Jack turned and smiled at her. The woman shrunk back feeling the wrath of the former First Lady.

The next question was directed at Bobby. “Can I take a selfie with you?”

Bobby raised an eyebrow. “A what?!”

The audience laughed. Obama leaned over. “It’s a photo.”

“Um…. Sure.” He replied.

Ethel giggled slightly.

Questions kept coming for another hour. Finally the last question was given to Jack and Jackie. “Do you know about John?”

They both nod.

President Obama stood up. “Thank you all, have a goodnight.” With that they all headed out of the room. Jack put his arm round Jackie. “Are you okay?”

“Of course I am, I just lie through my teeth for you.” She hissed.

“Jackie?”

She turned to him. “Sorry.”

“No I’m sorry, I will change.”

She nodded and hugged him. She started to cry. She missed John and she was beginning to feel homesick.
