It all started with a tweet....

Game Time Boys!!!

Kassie's Pov:

It was 10 minutes till game time and I was so excited. Coach finally showed up and she made us run through some of the stunts Which the boys were watching... some of them. Hayes was told to warm up throwing on the side so he was watching us. He was making sure they didn't drop me like he would all the time. But I knew he wanted to make sure I was okay.

Coach says "Alright ladies, last stunt.. Kassie I want you to try to do a bow- and- arrow then a diamond. Think you can do that?"

I turn my head towards Hayes and he nods. I look at Coach and say "Yeah, let's go."

Coach yells at the boys. He says "Sorry Coach but can they spot just in case, we haven't ever tried this and if she falls were screwed." Hayes walks over to me and says "If you loose your balance, try falling back, I will catch you." I nod. He kisses my hand and says "Do your best."

I nod.The girls do the cheer and I do a Kart wheel in to the basket. They push me up and then fully extend. I lift one leg up and hold it. Then I pull it closer towards me and hit the bow-and-arrow. Next I turn with the help of the girls.

I balance on one foot and bring my leg up. I pull it towards my head and hit the diamond. The girls say "Cr addle on 3.... 1..2..3..cradle" I fall into their arms and they catch me. I turn towards Hayes and he says "Kassie that was amazing. I got to go though." I smile and he kisses my forehead.

Game time....

Kassie's Pov:

The boys were about to come out. We had made a banner for them to run through that said "It's our time to shine!" The boys were getting pumped and I was suppose to do flips as they come out with another girl.

They rip through the paper and we start running..

Hayes's Pov:

Nobody was going to get in the way of this game tonight. When we hit that paper the whole teams emotions changed. We were in game mood and I knew it.

Kassie's Pov:

When kickoff came we were on the sidelines cheering. I was watching the game as best as I could.

Half time....

It was half time and the boys were winning pretty good. The score was 40-30 Davidson Day. I wanted to see Hayes during Half but I knew I couldn't. So I just went and visited Danielle and Cameron. They were in the stands cuddled up in a blanket. During the first half coach made us put our pants on.

I walk up and they say "Kassie did you see that one guy hit Hayes last quarter?" I look at them and say "No what happened?" She says "Well whoever guards for him wasn't guarding well. They got through and about knocked him down hard. But they blew the whistle before it happened. I wouldn't worry though."

Hayes's Pov:

I almost got the wind knocked out of me. My stupid LB wasn't guarding right. I swear if I get hit next half I will probably get hurt. But I can't let that happen because of Kassie. If she saw me hurt it would kill her. She would run out on that field even if it was on fire. She cares about me so much it's adorable. I told her I would win. I would win for her.

Kassie's Pov:

There was one more quarter left and Hayes was okay so far. Coach yells at us to do the stunt.... I was scared. I have to imagine him behind me.

Few minutes later there's a flag on the field. I look around and see.... HAYES!! He was on the ground and he wasn't moving!! I look at Hannah and she comes to me to hold me back. Chad runs on the field and kneels down. I see Elizabeth at the fence.

Chad looks up and motions for her to come. I run on to the field. The boys tried to hold me back but it didn't work. Nash runs after me but he didn't get me. I kneel down by his head. Chad looks at me and says "Kassie, you can't." I look at him and say "Does it look like I care."

He looks at Hayes and he had his eyes shut. I know they aren't suppose to take the helmet off but they un did the things and lifted it up as much as they could without moving his head. They managed to take it off.

Hayes opens his eyes and we make eye contact. He says faintly "Babe-... wha- what are.. you do- doing.. out her- here?" I look at him and a tear falls. He lifts his arm slowly and takes  a glove off. He wipes the tear and says fully "Don't cry, I am okay. Just need to catch my breath."

I smile at him. He smiles too. I say "You went down, so I came out here." He smiles and starts moving up. Chad says "Are you sure?" He nods.

He sits up and just sits there. I hand him the helmet and he tells the guys "I am good, give me a minute with her please?"

They all leave and I kneel down in front of him. He says "Kassie, your something else you know that?" I smile and blush. He grabs my hand and says "Kassie I am going to finish this, broken ribs or not, I am finishing this for you."

I smile at him and say "Your going to score one more touchdown and then you will win this game. Now get up, you got a game to finish!" He smiles and I help him up. He looks at me, he leans down and kisses me real quick and he says "Now go cheer your boyfriend on!" I smile and run off the field.

Hayes puts the helmet back on and goes to the circle to tell the play they were going to do.

With 1 minute left in the game, 4th down and right on the line. They snap the ball. Hayes throws to his teammate. He catches it. Turns around and there were 2 guys. He jumps over them and flips into the in zone.

Davidson Day WINS!!!! The guy on the inner com says. The boys jump and celebrate. I spot Hayes. I run out to him and he turns and spots me. He takes his helmet and throws it on the ground. I jump into his arms and he hugs me then says "I told you! We won!!" I smile and say...

"I love it when you talk football to me.."
