The year was now 1984, ten years since Sebastian had found Noodle. Much has happened within those ten years, one thing being town's beginning to re-open again now that humans have come up with better ways to defend themselves. However their methods to keep vampires out weren't flawless, since one vampire seemed to be in town. Sebastian's youngest son, Murdoc Niccals, was swiftly walking down one of the town's streets, bustling with people and the scent of foods from around the world.

"Must be some kind of festival..."

Murdoc thought to himself as his eyes darted around at the many humans walking past and even bumping into at times. He planned on only taking one life away out of the entire crowd today, since he was just hungry and had a strong craving for human blood. But he needed to choose correctly. Someone who would have no clue that he was a vampire.

Murdoc's eyes trailed around the crowds of people, noticing how they were mostly in groups of three or four, which meant it'll be harder to find someone by them-self.

But just as Murdoc was busy making up his mind on who to eat, the sound of cheering nearby caught him off guard. His hair which was once covering his eyes was gently moved from his face because of the gentle breeze against his face when lifting his head up, looking behind him in the direction of which the cheering was coming from. Despite all his years of roaming the town's streets, he's never heard this sound before, and was quite curious to find out what exactly a bunch of humans were screaming for.

As he got closer, Murdoc realized none of these humans seemed to be in any form of distress; in fact most of them looked to have a wide grin spread on their faces. Others were clapping with their hands above their head, whilst some held their fists up. They all looked to be facing the same direction, which obviously meant something was ahead of them. However Murdoc couldn't quite see, and shimmied his way through the crowd of people, receiving some bumps and pushes in the process. It only took a few seconds of Murdoc pushing through all the people before he suddenly halted when hearing a loud, high pitched ring after a loud thump, followed by the sound of someone nervously chuckling.

"Sorry! Sorry 'bout that-"

A voice spoke, which was much louder than any other person in the crowd. Murdoc could only assume it was what everyone was paying attention to. With a determined grunt, the vampire desperately tried to push and reach his arm through the last few people, until he was suddenly squeezed in between two humans when finally reaching the front of the crowd. And what he saw before him was not at all what he had expected.

A small stage in the middle of a bar, which only had a single mic stand and speakers behind it, as well as yet another human on top. Why were so many people paying so much attention to a single person? He didn't even look all that special: tall, lanky with bad posture, pitch black eyes that had a faint red tint due to the light shining on them, and spiky azure hair. For some reason Murdoc couldn't take his eyes off of the guy, watching as he was busy fixing a microphone back onto its stand

"Th-- Thank you all for coming to listen to me today."

The boy said with an almost trembling smile, showing his two missing teeth in the front of his mouth. He cleared his throat after receiving a brief cheer from the crowd again.

"I really didn't expect this many people, honestly. Uhm, I only sang a few songs, but you liked them, right?"

"Ah... a singer."

Murdoc thought to himself as his eyes squinted from a girl squealing right by his ear. By now Murdoc had made up his mind, this was his meal tonight. It was clear the singer was finishing up anyways, since he was just saying 'thank you' and giggling over and over until he decided to finally pack up to leave. When that happened, the crowd began to disperse, people walking in all directions to either regroup with their friends, sit at a table to get drinks, or leave to do something else. Murdoc decided to wait outside by the door, keeping his hands in his hoodie pouch as he waited for the singer to leave, and follow him until no one was around. He took around five minutes before leaving the bar, shoving what looked like money into his back pocket. He walked past Murdoc without batting an eye, stopping by the side of the pavement to cross the road

"Please don't have a cab, please don't have a cab..."

Murdoc thought, watching as the young man ended up crossing the road to continue walking down the opposite pavement. Murdoc smiled in relief as he followed behind. keeping in the shadows so that he wouldn't be seen.

The singer meanwhile, was softly humming to himself, flipping a coin repeatedly in his left hand whilst the other was in his pocket. However it only took a few tosses before the coin fell and bounced off the tip of the boy's shoe, making him click his tongue as it rolled in a circle nearby, and fell flat on to the pavement. But it was his untied shoelaces that caught the singer's attention. He got down on one knee, grabbing the white laces that were slightly mucky and dull due to being constantly stepped on and dragged along the dirt, the boy hummed in a defeated tone, remembering that... he didn't really know how to tie laces.

As he was busy pulling the strings left and right, looping them under each other and tangling his fingers in them, Murdoc watched from behind, in a dark alleyway. With a soft clearing of his throat, the vampire leaned against the wall.

"I liked your songs..."

He spoke, despite knowing well that he didn't hear a single one. Anything to grab a human's attention. His smirk grew as he saw his target lift his head up, looking around him in confusion as he pushed himself up on to his feet.

"Th-- Thank you? Where..."

Murdoc chuckled at the boy's visible confusion, as he decided to step out from the shadows. Their eyes locked on each other, whilst Murdoc steadily approached the boy with a hand out.

"I'm Murdoc. Um... Big fan."

"Oh...? I didn't think I had fans... I'm Stuart... You probably know that already."

As 'Stuart' reluctantly reached his hand out, Murdoc was quick to grab on to it and give him a brief handshake, before suddenly pulling his hand back and shoving it into his hoodie pouch again. He struggled to keep his calm, feeling his hunger worsen at the scent of Stuart's blood from what looked like small wounds on his lips that were there from picking at them. Murdoc exhaled heavily through his nose, forcing a smile, now.

"You know, I've never seen anyone like you around here before. Are you new?"

Murdoc asked, subtly moving closer. Stuart felt a bit nervous now, his hands balling into fists by his sides as he shook his head.

"No, I'm not... I just don't go out much."

Stuart replied in a slightly trembly voice, taking a small step back from Murdoc. However his eyes widened slightly when Murdoc suddenly turned himself around, covering his mouth with a hand. He was drooling, it was uncontrollable when he was starving and had food RIGHT in front of him. Stuart was sure that Murdoc wasn't really someone he should be around,a nd knowing that the area they were in had little to no people, he could feel he was in danger.

"... Right... I'm gonna go now."

Stuart mumbled, taking a few steps back before he'd hesitantly turn himself around to hurry home. But Murdoc turned around, his sharp teeth baring now as his wide eyes were stuck on Stuart, who was making an attempt to leave.

"Nooo, no, no, nonono-"

Murdoc mumbled, which gradually turned into a snarl, now suddenly sprinting at Stuart. Stuart yelped when realizing, now running as fast as his legs could take him.

"A vampire, a VAMPIRE, I should've known!"

Stuart's thoughts screamed in his head as he ran like no tomorrow, not taking even a second to look behind him. But unfortunately, Murdoc had caught up, reaching and arm out and making several attempts to latch his fingers onto the back of Stuart's shirt. And when he did, he yanked the boy back, making him cry in fear as he was thrown to the ground. His head hit a dumpster which he was thrown behind, making him briefly dazed as Murdoc crawled over him grabbing onto the collar of his shirt to hold him up. But once Stuart regained full consciousness, his breathing hitched and got heavier, his eyes widened and white, almost glowing. Murdoc by now had his mouth wide open, as well as his tongue lolling out of his mouth, and his eyes glowing a faint red.

"NO-! LET ME GO, LET ME GO!"

Stuart begged, thrashing his body about. Murdoc's sharp nails dug into the singer's neck to keep him quiet, making sure there was enough space to bite down. But... He didn't.
