"5,000 dollars Gio...that's a lot of money" Aaliyah had just got done online shopping for some baby stuff.
"I got the money don't worry bout it, girl" I kissed her cheek and grabbed her laptop putting in my information.
"Can you stay and watch a movie with me" She asked.
"Damn baby I gotta go" I mumbled grabbing my vibrating phone before she saw it.

"I know I'm sorry but I'll be back...give me a hour" I gave her a kiss and ran out the room.

I hung up and got in the Uber I called a couple minutes earlier. I recently got a job, if you can even call it that. Working for...kinda with my uncle. Low key I knew he was right but I didn't want Gio to think I'm insecure or something. Mainly because he did mention getting a job recently, he's probably just I dont know...busy
"Whatever don't stress about it , I'm sure everything's fine" Kadence insured with a comforting smile.
"Ima call him" I blurted pressing his contact name. He almost immediately declined my call sending me a text.

Kadence looked at me with eyes of sympathy before mouthing sorry. I should've known this wasn't gonna work I don't know what I was thinking. Trying to get with a 15-year old, Sophomore as a freaking 8th grader. Giovanni's past girlfriend's where what you would call the "popular" girls. I hung up quickly knowing what he was gonna say. He always said it now like it was nothing every time. Being that we've been friends going on 3 years now it wasn't the first time we exchanged the words. However now that we in a relationship I feel like it has a different meaning and the fact that he said it even knowing I wouldn't say it back-. I was interrupted by a pain from my stomach.
"Oh godddd" I leaned back closing my eyes.
"What's wrong" Kadence asked.
"I dont know...it hurts" I moaned trying to wiggle the pain away.
Kadence yelled into the hallway, "WE NEED A NURSE"
Within seconds nurses ran in, some checking my monitors others messing around with my vagina and asking dumb ass questions
"Okay looks like your going into labor...2 centimeters dilated" The doctor smiled.
"SHIT" I yelled out of pain and nervousness.
"Would you like a epidural, this will be the only time we can offer it"
"Yes, I need something" I cried.
They left and 2 returned with the medication and a large cup or ice.
"We need you to sit up so we can place the medication into your back"
"Okay" I mumbled stuffing ice in my mouth.
{2 hours later}
"THIS ISN'T WORKING"
They'd given me my second cup of ice as I sat on the yoga ball Gio's dad brought. Everything seemed to go downhill after taking the epidural. I felt the need to throw up every 5 minutes but nothing came out. Then there was headaches and hot flashes, felt like living hell. Other then that my contractions aren't as strong anymore.
My eyes got heavy as I laid my head down, "Where's Gio"
"He...He's coming bug" Daddy kissed my forehead. Kadence pulled up a chair behind me and rubbed my back as I fell asleep.
