Story 04: Angel of Obsession

The piano competition just got ended.

"C'mon, let's celebrate Myles' victory!"
"Guys, treat na daw ni Vona ah!"
"It should be him, tayo na nga nagsupport eh."
"Yeh. Fine, fine.."

They're so cheerful as ever. Each day was fun with these three.

Surely, usapan ngayon sa class yung achievement nya. Like.. as I enter the room, I will hear them congratulating Myles.

And so, I opened up the door.

"Seriously? Anong class??"
"Oh my, si Milian??"
"Shocks, kelan sya papasok??"

What was the rumor about?

Nasa corner sina Myles, Vona and Selene. Wala man lang nagtatanong about sa competition. Nirepresent nya pa yung name ng school, y'know?

"Ah, ayan na sya!"
"Woh, ang cute nya lalo in person!"

And the new student arrives. Majority, nakadungaw sa bintana at nakasilip sa hallway. Is she a kind of celebrity or what?

"Good morning!"

In just two words, tuwang-tuwa na sila. I feel bad for Myles so I approached them.

"Wassup. You guys fine?"
"Well yeah, kami ni Selene." Vona answered.

"What do you mean by that?" Myles asked while looking irritated but forcing to smile. "I'm fine, okay?"

Finally, nandito na yung prof namin.

"I want you guys to congratulate Myles for winning the piano competition that made our school's pride rise even more! Please stand, Mr. Myles.."

They all clapped and were amazed. I'm happy na na-notice din yung effort nya.

"And as his award, they made a special plaque that will be displayed on our stadium! Well deserved naman right?"

Woh, that's great!

Lunch time, the new student suddenly approached us.

"Nandon ako nung performance mo. The music was so great, even though wala akong masyadong alam sa music, I felt like I was floating above the sea!"

"That was a bit exaggerated but.. thanks."

I know, we all feel uneasy with her suddenly acting friendly..

"By the way, I'm Milian! Vlogger, coser and voice actress."

She reached out her hand. My friends looked at each other's eyes. Awkward naman kung walang papansin so, ako nalang.

"I'm Frelle. Nice meeting you."

Finally, they smiled back and introduced themselves. This Milian was reminding me of them before pa kami naging circle of friends. It takes me back.

After school, "Time to walk home, tara?."  Just inviting them for what we usually do.

But they refused.

Myles will have another piano lessons. Vona has an unexpected trip with her fam. And Selene, as the council's current vice president, was preparing for the upcoming election to win the president candidacy. She also has been very busy as our class representative, everytime.

Guess I'll go alone today.

As I walk through the hallway, akala ko ako nalang and yung student council yung natitira sa loob ng building. But I saw someone and stopped in front of the arts room. And before knowing it, I was unconsciously standing there outside, watching her paint.
