Third Son, First Daughter (Kyoya Love Story)

The Separation

Umeko and her father were having a great visit at the university. Umeko enjoyed the classes and found the professors to be challenging and insightful. They had been staying in one of the homes their family owned, it was just a short distance from the campus. Tomorrow was the last day of their trip when Umeko’s father came into the study to address her.

“My dear I must return home. An important business matter has come up and I must get back to the office.” Her father sounded so disappointed

“It’s fine father. I am only attending a class tomorrow and then returning back to the house to wait for my next appointment. I understand.” Umeko smiled at her father, hoping her wasn’t too upset

“I’m very sorry Umeko. I was enjoying this trip very much. I hope you have been too.”

“I have been father. This place is amazing!” Umeko popped up to hug her father

“Good.” Her father replied laughing “Perhaps we will attend a few more universities before you make your decision.”

“I would enjoy that too father.” He left Umeko watched her father leave the study, closing the door behind him.

Well I’ve made it this far, maybe this is the place for me, but maybe I should see a few more universities before committing to this one. Umeko was so happy, she enjoyed school so much and wanted to make the best decision when it came to where to go. She put the books back on the shelf she had been reading and headed to her room. Her father had just left and she was alone in the house, except for her staff of course. Her mind began to wander and it landed on Kyoya, how can I even think of him after the way he treated me? She turned over staring out the window, when I get back I have to be with him to complete that project, but this time I will keep my head together. If this trip has taught me anything it’s that I have so much more ahead of me. I can’t let Kyoya become a roadblock, he can’t be in my way anymore. And he sure can’t weigh so heavily on my mind like he has been.

Kyoya had spent the last week going over and over the situation at hand. How could he win Umeko back? He had to get them back to the place they were before he ruined it with his comments. She had one more day of her visit left before she returned home tomorrow night. He would see her at school the day after that and they were supposed to work on their project that night as well.

He was pacing around his room at the moment, hoping something, anything would come to him. Of course! Kyoya jumped up and grabbed his phone, dialing a number he knew so well. He placed his order to be delivered tomorrow. This should help me win her back.
