Two Brides Are Better Than One

CHAPTER ONE

Lisa Cervantes yawned while looking at the blackboard. Their teacher had been discussing something about calculus and no matter how hard she tries she just can't seem to get it.

kelan ba 'toh matatapos? she thought. Lisa sighed looking at the blackboard full of formula and numbers and x and y's and all of that is seriously making her head spin.

"Okay now class i'm going to give out an assignment, please pass it in my office before your classes starts tomorrow" and at that their teacher left the classroom. As soon as the teacher left the whole class started becoming a zoo, all the guys are shouting at something and some girls are gossiping and the whole class is just noisy and the scenario is like the typical classroom of highschool kids who gives no crap about school and studying.

Lisa wanted to shout TUMAHIMIK NGA KAYO ANG IINGAY NIYO MGA HANGAL but instead she groaned loudly and she took out some vicks from her bag and started massaging her temple and closing her eyes shut hoping that it will relieve her headache from listening to calculus for a whole hour and then being in a room full of noisy teenagers.

"You okay?" Lisa's eyes immediately opened when she felt a finger tap her shoulder and she turned around and met Hannah De Castro's eyes and for moment Lisa's mind went blank, she was too caught at Hannah's eyes hitting the sunlight that is coming from the window making her eye color pop. Lisa didn't moved, she's too caught at Hannah's beautiful cat eyes and long lashes.

"Okay ka lang ba?" Hannah asked again when the latter didn't respond. She touched Lisa's forehead and looked at her closely checking if she has a fever. Lisa was startled at how close their faces are and quickly pulled away.

"Uhm.. yeah i'm fine mejo masakit lang ulo but i'm okay." she said smiling slightly.

"Are you sure? you're face looks red, do you need to go the infirmary?" Yes. Lisa's face turned red.

"Oh no no, there's no need siguro nahilo lang rin ako sa calculus" she said while chuckling a little.

"Oh yeah our lesson today is really stressful" Hannah said emphasizing on the word 'Stressful'.

"I can't get anything at all and i'm actually worried kung masasagutan ko ba yung assignment di ko talaga kase magets" It's true though, Lisa Cervantes really is not that good at math but she's very good at writing essays and she even won awards from being very good at it and she also won the Philippine Schools Debate Championship last school year and she is also the president of their school's debate club.

"I can help you" Hannah offered looking at Lisa's eyes intently "we can work on it together" Lisa can feel her cheeks heat up again due to Hannah looking at her eyes straight.

"Oh thank you.." Lisa said as she glued her eyes to the floor trying to hide her red face to Hannah.

"But are you feeling okay now? i mean masakit pa din ba ulo mo? kase kung di mo kaya i can just call you later and we can work on it through video call" Lisa's heart melted at how eager Hannah is to help her even though she didn't asked for help in the first place and it made her smile a little but the thought of them video calling made Lisa feel awkward.

"Oh no i'm fine now" she said while smiling at Hannah. "We can just meet after class" and as soon as she said that their English Teacher walked inside the room and the whole class's attention went to their Teacher.

"Okay meet you after class then Lisa"

Lisa doesn't know why but hearing Hannah call her name made her feel some weird crap in her  stomach and it made her heart stop for moment.

Hannah De Castro stood up from her seat when the bell rang indicating that classes for today is over. She gathered her things and fixed her desk before walking towards the door when she felt a hand grabbed her lightly in the arms, this made her turn around.

"Hannah! we're going to this new milktea shop that opened yesterday, sama ka samin" her friend,Karen, said with big smile on her lips, trying to convince Hannah to come with her but she have other plans.

"I'm sorry Karen but i'll have to pass may pupuntahan pa ko eh next time. Promise." Hannah said sticking her pinkie out. This made Karen pout.

"But Mark will be there" Karen tried to convince Hannah by saying that Mark, a very popular handsome guy in their school, to come. " You two seem quite close.. maybe.. you might wanna introduce me to him. Please Hannah.." So you only invited me kase gusto mo ipakilala kita kay mark? Hannah thought. Though she's not surprised. A lot of people approach her because of the sole reason that they want something from her or to gain something from her, since Hannah is a very smart girl a lot of people tend to befriend her because they need someone to copy their homeworks or sometimes they want to be close to her to gain popularity, Since Hannah is quite known in their school because one - she have a very gorgeous appearance, two - she's very smart and three - she came from a well known wealthy family.

Hannah never really had any real friends. Whenever someone wants to approach her they always want something from her, no one really wanted to be her true friend but she has a lot of 'so-called-friends' , It's nice to be with them naman, they make her laugh and keeps her company but knowing that these 'Friends' of hers only hang out with her because they want to gain something from her makes Hannah out of place whenever she's with them and that is why she's a very lonely girl, A lonely girl with a lot of 'Friends.'

"I'm sorry Karen, but i have somewhere to go maybe next time?"

"Okay fine.." and at that Hannah left Karen but before she went through the door she heard Karen mumble "Ugh, kala mo naman kung sinong importante." this statement made Hannah stop at her tracks for a moment but she just sighed and kept walking. Well it's not like this is the first time my friends talked crap about me behind my back.

Hannah waited for Lisa at the ground floor and she took out her phone to text her when she realized, Crap. I don't have her number  She wandered her eyes around trying to look for Lisa. Ugh. Does she even know that i'm waiting for her here? She kept looking around until her eyes fell at Lisa who is walking and towards her and waving at her. The strong wind makes Lisa's hair brush against her face making her eyes squint from the strong wind and Hannah found this to be very-

She's so cute... has she always been this attractive? Hannah thought to herself. she could feel her face heat up a bit.

"Kanina kapa ba andito? sorry ah ang haba kase ng pila sa cr eh" Lisa said avoiding Hannah's eyes.

"Oh it's okay kakaalis ko lang din naman ng klase"

"So uhm.. san mo gusto gawin yung assignment? i'm cool with anywhere" Lisa said as she started walking and Hannah following her and walking side by side. They started conversing on where to work on their homework and Lisa would occasionally glance at Hannah being careful that she won't be caught admiring Hannah's beautiful features.

"Pero legit. Kahit saan lang talaga okay lang sakin" Lisa stopped and looked Hannah's nose, to make it seem like she's looking at her eyes but she's not really because she can't look at her eyes or else she'll turn into a tomato. "You choose" 

"Okay.. then kung papipiliin mo ako.. edi sa.."
