The faint smell of expensive wine paired with medium rare steak cooked by a highest paid chef. High-end branded clothes worn by different people in this room that is only reserved for the De Castro's family.
The diamond and gold accessories worn by Hannah's cousin's and aunt's and uncle's shines extremely bright that it'll probably blind a person who lives a simple life.
The whole place basically screams luxury.
And it's suffocating the hell out of Hannah.
Today, Hannah's Father held a party as a congratulatory for himself for winning this one award that Hannah can't remember nor does she care.
It's a small family gathering that is located at the top floor of a building that is also owned by the De Castro's.
"I want to go home..." Hailey mumbled beside her. Hannah couldn't do anything but nod and agree with her.
Meeting your family members after a year or two of not seeing each other, sure is heartwarming and exciting. But the case for Hannah's family is extremely different.
Because every single member of the family Is bragging about their stupid wealth like it's the only thing that matter's in a person's life. Every single one of them smiles and talks to each other like a family but they all know that it's all just fake.
Lahat ng miyembro ng pamilya na ito ay plastic. Mas plastic pa sa basura.
All of their embellishments shines just as much as how they're jealous of each other's wealth.
It's stupid, sickening and absolutely suffocating to be surrounded by this kind of people.
But Hannah's mind wandered off to what happened to Lisa and her yesterday.
"I lost you, Hannah... I longed for you..."
Hannah sighed and shakes her head in confusion. What does she mean by that?
"Oh. by the way" their Grandma turned her head towards Hannah. "How is your grade Hannah? I'm sure na you're in the honors"
Hay. Jusme. Naasa lang talaga ako.
"Hannah" her Grandmother called.
That's probably just something she said as a friend. Hannah thought, making sure she doesn't get her hopes up.
"Hannah" Hailey nudged her side. "Lola is calling you"
"Oh" Hannah was woken up from her thoughts. She turned her head towards her Grandmother. "What was that Lola?"
"I'm asking how your grades are" her Grandmother slightly gave her a displeasing look.
"I've been maintaining my grades well Lola" Hannah forced a smile.
She turned her head to the side and rolled her eyes. She's not asking how I am but how my grades are. Great.
"Do you perhaps have a boyfriend right now?" her Grandmother teased her.
Hannah smiled at her and shook her head. "I'm not quite interested in dating Men Lola"
"Oh" her Grandmother let out a few, small laughs that embraces her firm and elegant beauty for an old age. "That's right. You should focus on your studies first. Wag ka muna mag b-boyfriend at kailangan mo pang makapasok ng UP and be a lawyer okay?" she looked at Hannah's eyes. Not blinking a bit. "You need to follow your Father's footsteps"
