FIVE: READY, SET AND PACK! I'M TIRED BUT STILL HAVE TO GO TO GERMANY

"Manang, are you done packing the presents?" I yelled from upstairs.

Today is the day that I have to go to Germany, Manang Fe and Yaya Ren are packing the presents for my father's friends. He said that he didn't have time to bring them sweets and presents but I don't believe his alibi, honestly, he's just forgetful.

My things are already packed, I stayed late at night packing my things, it's a good thing that I slept well but I was surprised that I woke up late. Seriously, 11 o'clock is a very bad time to wake up. How can you be productive when you wake up 1 hour or 30 minutes before lunch time.

Five hours left and I will leave for Germany. I went downstairs to the kitchen and saw that they are still packing up the gift. At least it's almost done. Ugh, why did dad ordered me to buy such ridiculous gifts. He has money, he's a billionaire, why wouldn't he do it.

God, I'm so tired, this is my problem every time. This is what I do whenever I am tired, I silenty close my eyes and say a silent prayer: Jesus heavenly brother, please help me and give me strength. I am tired and can barely lift up my body. I wish I can rest in Germany and come back fresh. Amen.

"Ma'am your father is calling. Shall I get the call for you." My parents' secretary said.

"No need, Fiona. I'll answer the call." I stand up and went to the living room where I can hear the phone ringing. Before picking up the call, I cleared my throat due to the saliva that's stuck inside my throat.

"Bonjour, papa.."

"Ah, Heldiegard, are you done packing up your things. When are you coming here." Dad seems excited that I will be going to Germany, I just don't know why.

"I already told you that I will be going at Six heures. It's trimestre à douze here in France how about in Germany?" I asked while signaling to one of the maids to go and get me a glass of water.

The maid comes back with water in hand, I mouthed a thank you and listened to my father's answered.

"Allemagne and France have the same time zone or did you forget that they have the same time." Father snorted.

Yes, yes, that's right. Allemagme and France have the same time zone. I totally forgot, it's as if I haven't been in Germany. France and Germany are neighboring countries, that's a fact.

"Yeah," I scratched my itchy wrist lightly.

By the way, I haven't asked dad why did he ask me go in Germany. He said it's urgent but the way he is speaking to me now, it doesn't seem that I would go there because something is "urgent". I just hope that it's not something stupid.

"Why do you sound so happy? And why the hell do you want that I will go to Germany in the middle of work. I have you know that I am very busy."

"Keep your hair on, as if you're coming here for a vacation." Now, he sound like he's getting angry, a moment ago he was all bubbly.

I was about to ask something to my father more detail when I heard my mother's voice speaking: Who are you calling. Dear mother, why don't you grab the phone and say my name. It's your daughter who is on the phone.

"It's Hediegard, I called her to check-up on what she is doing now." My father answered.

'Can you give my daughter a break. I bet she is working in her office right now and she will just go directly to the airport and travel here.'

Typically I'm just here in the mansion doing nothing. But I love how my mother is always concerned of my health. Personally, I'm a daddy's girl since I'm very close with my dad but that doesn't mean that I am not close with my mother.
