SEVEN: BUSINESS? WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS?

I'm done! I'm literally done! Yesterday dad and mom were just talking and talking and talking to that stupid damn hospital director. Dad said that I need to come here pronto since it is a business emergency. My head is turning upside down and since they are going to the director's house, I am here alone in my hotel room just working on my laptop.

My parents said I need to stay here for a week and then I can go back to France for work. If only they know what I'm feeling right now, and yes, I'm missing my work. It may be sometimes a disaster, a nuisance or it makes me busy that I forgot to think of my self but I love my work. Others also think that my husband is my work, which is also true.

"Nanny Aria! Can you give me a glass of—"

I was cut off by the ringing of my phone. I took it out of the bag and saw an unknown caller. Okay, this is nuts already, how can somebody know my number when I don't even give my number to anybody, except for my family. Strange. Oh, well might as well end this stupid phone call that is ought for nothing.

"Ma'am is there something wrong?" Aria asked in a panic.

"No, nothing wrong, but I—"

"But you what, is there something wrong?"

" I said no. Chillax woman! I asked you to bring me some water but—"

"Alright ma'am...", Aria gets a glass and pour some water with lemon and cucumber in it. She knows me very well, since I was a child she was already my nanny. Not only that, she is also my right-hand woman, the only stranger I trust more than my secretary.

Nanny puts the glass in the dresser beside the bed and I gave a smile saying a simple: Thank You. About that, unknown number, maybe nanny knows this number. Since she appears to know everything because she always hears the gossips of my mom.

"Nanny...," I called for her attention and she turns towards me. "Someone called me and I don't know who and why. Do you know whose number is this?"

I gave her my phone and she stares into my it. " Yes, I know this number! I think this is Dr Liam Schmidt's number, he gave me his number and I'm guessing it's his. It looks familiar, Miss Chenevert."

"Are you having doubts? 'I think' and 'I'm guessing' are the words you know I don't and never trust, so, can you check your phone if ever you have the number of--what was that guy again?" I took my phone from her.

Nanny takes her phone from the glass table beside my bed and she scrolls through her phone contacts. And, that got me thinking. Why in the world would someone who is a public figure would give his phone number to someone he is not even acquainted with? I mean, no offense but you shouldn't give your phone number to someone you just met.

I'm curious to know about this Dr Liam Schmidt, he may look like a celebrity-slash-noble-doctor but to be honest, I think he's a middle aged man flirting with a 49-year-old housemaid. In short, he is a playboy. Then, they say: Don't judge a book by its cover. Maybe he gave his phone number for a reason.

"Aha, I found it!" She exclaimed showing me her phone. "It is really doc's phone number. He gave this to me since he knew that you were coming here and he wants to be friends with you."

That doctor really did gave his phone number for a reason. But the fact that we wants to be friends with me. I think he has no chance to get any closer to me. I'm a figure that will be forever off limits to men, except for my father and brother as a family, not something else.
