What if Issei has an adopted brother. Kage Hyoudou, was in a coma after a car accident. Almost completely blind, he's never had it easy. Thankfully, he had a good brother(Issei) by his side to help him. what happens when he wakes up?
It's been a few days since the fight with Riser. Since then, Rias has been a little clingy to Issei and Asia hasn't left Kage's side. Both brothers have been a little shocked at the girls sudden attachment. Ever since Asia got the news about Kage's lost of sight, she refused to leave Kage's side. Even with his protests, she wouldn't budge so he decided to let her do what she wished. He even had a cane so he could go around and get used to being now completely blind. Though at school, boys were always jealous that he had such a beautiful girl always with him. Thankfully, he manages to scare them off even though he's blind. Comes to show that a blind man can scare the toughest of idiots. His grey eyes still had life in them which was oddly charming to the girls. Every once and a while, Asia ends up sleeping in the same bed as Kage, which freaks him out when he wakes up. At least he doesn't let it all get to his head since he wasn't a pervert. Though there are other things to worry about. Kiba has been acting strange as of late. As a friend, Kage worries for him since this 'keeping distance' thing wasn't like Kiba. When they learned of the holy sword project, Kage was riddled with disgust. Now, Issei, Kage, and Asia are walking back home from another day at the club. When they reached their home, they al sensed something wrong. The three walked in, cautiously as Kage raised his cane like a weapon.
Kage: Do you think someone broke in?
Issei: Lets hope not. I don't want another Freed incident.
Kage: The priest you talked about?
Issei: Yeah. Let's hurry and see.
The three came to the living room, only to find out everything was fine and was met by the brothers mother talking to a couple of girls. One had blue hair while the other...

Miki: Oh, you three are back! Kage, why are you holding your cane like that?
Kage: Uuhh... I thought someone broke in.
Kage set down his cane and searched for the couch. Again, his lack of sight was making things difficult.
Miki: Here Kage, let me help you.
Miki helped the blind dragon to the couch.
Kage: Thanks mom. So, who are our guests?
Miki: Oh, I almost forgot to introduce them. Kage, prepare to meet someone you haven't seen in years.
???: Hey Kage! It's so nice to see you again!
Kage knew that voice.
Kage: Irina? Is that you?
Irina: Yup!
He was shocked. It's been years since he last 'saw' her. She was his best friend since childhood until she moved.
Kage: I can't believe it! It's been so long! How've you been?
Irina: I've been doing great! So... how have you been?
Kage: Eh... Not so bad. I'm blind, but fine.
Irina: *gasp* Oh my gosh, you're blind?! Like completely?!
Kage: Yup. Can't see worth a darn. But hey, I'm doing well enough and can't complain.
Irina: Oh my goodness, I am so sorry!
Kage: Hey, it's fine. Whatever happened, happened. Besides, I'm glad to 'see' you again. *chuckles*
Irina smiled at his attempted joke. Even when bad news presents itself, Kage always tried to lighten the mood. That was one of the reasons she always loved spending time with him.
*timeskip*
Kage stood with Asia and the others as Rias talked with Irina and her partner, Xenovia. The blind dragon mainly ignored it as he didn't want to get involved and because he wasn't in the mood for the church's issues. At the moment, he was wrapped in his wings, concealing him in a cloak of darkness with his horns still folded down in his hair. He often would let his draconic features out whenever he could so he wouldn't have to worry about being self conscious about his heritage. That and it ironically made Asia keep close to him for reasons beyond him. The two girls from the church were about to leave until they looked upon Asia. This made Kage be on guard since he could sense the malice from Xenovia's stare.
Kage: You got a problem?
Xenovia: I just see that it's fitting that I'd find her here.
Kage: What's that supposed to mean?
Xenovia: I mean that a witch like her belongs with-
Kage: Watch your tongue, hypocrite!
Xenovia: And what could you do, devil?
Kage: I am no devil. I am something more. No offense Rias.
Rias: None taken.
Xenovia: Then what are you? Other then a defender of a traitorous witch.
Kage: Now you listen here. I will not tolerate you talking about Asia like that. You don't know anything about her or what she's been through. Try anything with her, and I will hunt you down!
Xenovia: Is that so? Than are you prepared to fight the entire church?
Kage: You're damn right I am!
Issei: That's right!
Issei stood by his brother with the same passion burning in his eyes. Kage may not be able to see with his eyes, but that didn't stop him from 'staring' Xenovia down. From a first glance, Xenovia thought this boy was just a blind fool that was all talk. Now though, she saw a man with the aura that could cast a shadow over darkness itself. And the 'cloak' only amplified that aura. Irina was shocked out of her mind. Seeing her childhood friend act this way while speaking the way he was. This wasn't the boy she knew from her childhood anymore, but something else.
