Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high,
There's a land that I heard of
Once in a lullaby.
Minka rolled over in her sleep. What was this rainbow? Where had this song come from?
Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue,
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true.
Earth... thought Minka. Was it really possible? Minka's eyes fluttered, and she heard a gasp of joy and relief. Minke was by her side, singing to her. "Continue..." muttered Minka, before drifting slowly to sleep again.
Someday I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far
Behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me.
Minka dreamt that she was headed towards Earth, in a big, rickety rocket, shooting past planets and stars, Earth getting ever closer in the porthole. Then, the rocket stopped, and started to drift. Minke screamed, the air started to leak out, and Minka heard one last thing before her dream changed and faded away and she floated in a dreamless sea of black.
Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly.
Birds fly over the rainbow.
Why then, oh why can't I?
If happy little bluebirds fly
Beyond the rainbow
Why, oh why can't I?

Sorry, another short one. I promised I'd upload it, so I did. It'll be a while before the next one, sorry. I'll start actually working on this story, though eventually. For now, bear with me :)
