~Paul's POV~

"Wow!! It is so BEAUTIFUL!!!" I yelled out as I climbed out of the van.

My ankle boots spread some dust in the air when I stepped out and I made my way over to the dirt road which led to a nice spot for a picnic.

This would for sure take my mind off of things.

I adjusted the straps on my bodysuit so it would come up higher in the front while I was going down the little road.

My white sheer cardigan flowed behind me beautifully. I was wise to not bring a long one so it wouldn't get dirty from the floor.

I felt my denim shorts riding up so I tugged them back down to a more appropriate length.

"What time is it?" I asked over to Esteban.

"Uh..." He pulled out his phone and checked the time. "...It's about to be 12 in like 5 minutes."

I nodded and thanked him.

We layed out the sheets and organized all the food and dishes. Luckily for us, nobody else was around today which made it all the more special.

There was a nice waterfall nearby judging by the noise I was hearing. Which also meant there was a river!

"I want to go to the river. I'll be back in a bit." I announced.

"Yep! We'll be back in a bit." Leslie and Emily both immediately came over to me and tagged along.

Oh my goodness, they were acting like uncle Yi-

No no, he's not real. Stop it.

"It's really not that far from here..." I smiled, trying to convince them I would be fine on my own.

"Well then that will be less work for us then!" Leslie grinned over at Emily and they were secretly laughing, knowing I wanted to be alone.

I let out a sigh.

Well. No point in trying.

"Oooooh! It's so wonderful!" I cried out, moving over towards the crystal clear river. I could see a variety of fish swimming along close to the surface.

"Paul be careful. You could fall in and then we're gonna have to go save your delicate ass." Emily moved her hair behind her ear.

"Oh please! I'll be fine. Besides, I know how to swim!" I turned over to look at her, not noticing the hazardous rocks close to my feet which could very easily lead to dangerous situations.

"Yeah, but that current looks pretty strong. It could end up dragging you away and you would drown." Leslie spoke for Emily in response.

"Relax! I won't fall in!"

Almost as if god was playing a prank on me, I stumbled on the rocks near my feet and began to fall backwards into the river.

I was halfways falling in when I opened up my mouth to yell but no sound came out. I could faintly notice that Emily and Leslie were aleady running to try and save me.

I shut my eyes, waiting for the impact and for the coldness of the water to hit me.

...

I was still waiting.

I slowly peeked one eye open and I noticed that, I was floating in the air. At the moment I thought I was floating, but in reality someone had caught me.

"Lucky for you I was here to catch you huh?" I heard a very familiar voice say from beside my ear.

I looked up to my rescuer and let out a loud ass gasp.

"Red!!" I gave him a huge hug and was nearly crushing his organs. He forced a smile through the pain and patted my back awkwardly.

"Nice to see you too I guess." He brought me back down over to Emily and Leslie.

"Red!! What the fuck??!" Emily growled.

I was so happy!! This means I wasn't dreaming!

It was real!

And-

"Wait." I snapped my attention towards Emily. "You recognize Red! Which means you were lying about everyone else!" I pointed an accusing finger at her.

She shut her mouth instantly and Leslie gave her a look which read: 'Way to go dumbass.'

"Uh... Am I missing something?" Red scratched the back of his head, confused at the whole thing.

"Would you like to answer that question Emily?" I placed my hands on my hips.

She mumbled something to herself, probably scolding herself for letting the truth out. "Fine. No point in hiding it anymore since you found out."

"Queen Crystal told us all to lie to you and make you think it was all just a dream. She doesn't want you to go back to that world." Emily explained to me.

"But why?? I don't understand? What really happened yesterday?" I asked.

"Well, from what I heard, Yin accidentally hurt you with his powers which had gotten out of control. He knocked you out cold and when the queen heard of this she was absolutely furious." She shuddered at the mere thought of seeing my mother so angry.

"But.. You said it was an accident?" I was even more confused.

"Yeah, everyone knows that. But the queen is too stubborn to come to terms with it. She strictly prohibits you from going back there again."

I pouted my lips. "Well guess what! I'm going to go back no matter what my mother says.... And... She isn't even my mom, my real mom died a long time ago." My mind went back to my human mother.

Red looked over at me and I averted my gaze because I didn't want to see anybody feeling bad for me. It was a memory I wish I could forget.

"..." Emily didn't know what to say in such a situation so she decided silence was the best response.

"...Paul. Even if you wanted to go back, we still don't understand how your guys ended up in that world in the first place." Leslie spoke up.

I wiped my eyes before they could start to get watery and I forced a smile upon my face. "No need to waste time thinking about a solution when the answer is right here!" I motioned towards Red.

"Huh? Me?" He asked, still showing the same look of confusion.

"Yeah you. Afterall you did appear in this world to save me. I'm sure you can use that same power to take me back to the other world." I grinned.

"Ah... Right. Are you sure you want to go back though?" He asked me.

"I'm positive. Maybe you guys can ask the queen for a ride back if you want to come too." I told the girls as I held onto Red's arm.

He snapped his fingers and in a quick burst of energy, we were back to the place I considered home.

I was back.
