Chapter 7

     It's been exactly five weeks since I told Derek I had feelings for me and he confessed to me as well but we don't know where we stand at the moment. Today I was going to go have lunch with Janel. I was in my closet searching for something to wear. I threw on my Floral Printed Skater dress and paired them with my black Buckled Faux Leather Sandal. In makeup, I'd just throw on some lipstick, foundation and mascara. Grabbing my bag off my bag, I walked down my stairs and out into the crisp afternoon air. I've looked my door and made my way into my car and started driving to the beach front restaurant where I was meeting Janel. I got there after 10 minutes because I swear when you live in Hollywood, everything is too close. I stepped out my car and made my way inside and taking a seat waiting for Janel.

"Hey there little one.." Janel smiled at me while she sat down across from me. "You look so cute.."

"Hi back at you, and let me say I'm going to come to your house and steal that dress.." I laughed placing my phone back into my purse.

"I'll be waiting.." Janel winked at me while she picked up the menu.

"How's Val?" I asked looking at Janel since I already knew what I wanted.

"He's good.. How about Mr.Derek" She putting her menu down.

"He's great!" I replied showing my dimples involuntarily. Janel gave me a look and smiled arching an eyebrow.

"Is there something going on? Between the two of you?" She asked with a gling of something in her eyes.

"Is there something between you and Val?" I asked teasing her back.

"Tell me about You and Derek, then you'll get my info" Janel smiled.

I laughed shaking my head but told her anyways. "There's nothing going on you know, about five weeks ago we told each other how we felt and that's it.. We go on like normal days. No thing awkward..but our waltz is a little you know.. romantic."

"Well, to make you feel better I have to kiss kiss Val on national television.." Janel laughed.

"Do you like it? Or are you guys.. You know.."I asked leaning towards her.

"Call down Beth, we were just trying to figure out where we stand with each other right now.." She nodded.

     I patted her hand softly ,and took a sip of the ice water when the waiter came I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken and Janel ordered the Pan Fried Noodles. Grabbing my phone out my bag I noticed a text from my mom and another from Rebecca, Once I've replied to them I placed the phone back in my bag.

"Is your birthday is coming up?" Janel asked me with a smile.

"It is, on the tomorrow. Why?" I questioned taking another sip of my water.

"Because, that's the only thing Derek is talking about.." Janel shook her head smiling.

"Really?" I smiled hard. Aw, he's so freaking sweet

     The dinner went by through a breeze. When it was time to leave we stood up and made our way outside, giving Janel a hug, we went our separate way. When I slipped into my car, I took a deep breath and pulled out of the parking lot them made my way back home, Derek and I had a late night practice. I'd decided to skip my shower until practice, I grabbed my Above Average White Muscle Tee then paired it with a matching yoga Capri's. I kept my hair in its mussy been then slid on my sneakers.

     I made my way back into my car and started driving to the studio while listening to the radio, during the ride I popped in Taylor's CD and jammed along to it. Singing along to I Know Place. I parked my car then grabbed my purse and gym bag making my way inside.
