//hello... one last thing... I'm bad at... everything writing related and typos and errors may appear so... yeah... I'll let you get reading... bye!//
" Darryl!" A powerful voice boomed from the door of his bedroom.
Darryl perked up from his writing. He scurried over to his door, flapping his wings for momentum.
"Yes, Gabriel?" Darryl got down on one knee and bowed his head at the foot of the stronger Angel.
Gabriel smiled softly. "There is no need for formalities. I am to simply give you this and send you on your way." Gabriel held out a small fool of paper for the younger Angel to read. "Find me when you're ready."
Darryl nodded. Gabriel gently shut his door and left the young Angel.
Darryl held the roll of paper lightly as to not wrinkle the parchment. "What would be so important that Gabriel himself would deliver this to me?"
After much arguing with himself... he unrolled the paper.
"Darryl,
You have been given the honor of protection. You must protect a boy and his castle from the demons that plague his home. I send you for you seem to be the most gentle of all Angels... a high compliment.
Find Gabriel after you finish this letter. He will send you on your way."
Darryl knew his duty... yet he still hesitated.
"Why me of all people?"

"Are you ready, Darryl?" Asked Gabriel.
"If I say no... would you be disappointed?" Darryl answered truthfully.
Gabriel shook his head and placed a gentle hand on Darryl's shoulder. "Remember, even The Messiah was scared. There's nothing to worry about. If you ever need us, you know how to contact us."
Darryl felt comfort from the Angel's words. He smiled back at Gabriel, a silent thank you, before spreading his wings and venturing into the world he'd never really been in.

They knew!
They knew he was coming! The demons fought Darryl in the sky before he even entered an area near where he was supposed to be... or so he thought.
Bloody, wet and tired one of the demons took a swipe at Darryl's wings and sent him spiraling downwards.
The demons, proud of their achievement, disappeared in the darkness of the rain filled inky sky.
Darryl didn't know where he was but it was cold and hard stone. "...help..."

When Darryl awoke... his head was pounding. It was like getting thrown into a wall... multiple times. "Gah! That hurts..."
"You're awake!" Someone shouted.
"Darryl looked around to find the source of the voice. His eyes landed on a tan, raven haired male. His hair was messy but still somehow contained, his favorite color had to be blue... as he wore a white shirt with blue sleeves and a simple pale blue vest.
"Are you okay? You came out of nowhere last night. One moment the rain is the only noise I hear then I hear you crash onto my balcony." The boy explained.
He gently took off Darryl's bandages and place a warm wet cloth on the still fresh wounds. Darryl hissed and flinched away from the pain. The tan boy placed the cloth in a bowl of hot water for a second and walked away.
