"You ready to go babe?" Niall asks you.
"Yeah just give me a sec I need to go upstairs and get your mom's gift, but go ahead and wait for me in the car" you say to him starting up the stairs. He nods his head and turns to go out the door.
"Oh and Ashley" He says,
"Yes"
"You look beautiful." His words send chills down your spine and all you could do was blush and have a stupid grin on your face.
You continue to look for Maura's birthday gift in yours and Niall's master bedroom. Once you eventually find it, you head out to the car with your purse over your shoulder, locking the door behind you.
As you step into the warm car, you lean over and give Niall a sweet kiss on the lips. After you get settled in, he slowly steps on the gas leading the two of you out of your driveway.
You turn on the radio and start to hear Niall softly singing along as you coast along the highway. With that, he places his hand on your thigh, rubbing small circles over and over again making the butterflies in your stomach go crazy.
*1 hour later*
"I can feel you staring at me, babe" He says with a laugh, snapping you out of your trance.
"Well I just can't believe that I'm actually here with you. You know how much I love you, Niall, and especially for how long I have." You say.
You and Niall have been dating for just over 3 years, although you've loved him longer. When you were younger, you've always had the thought in the back of your mind that you and Niall could actually happen. Of course, the majority of your friends thought you were crazy and made fun of your for it, but you clearly proved them wrong.
"Ashley, there's no one I'd rather be with. You treat me right and I get to do things like this with you all the time! You're so genuine and beautiful, and you know what to do to make me the luckiest man in the world; even the little things like visiting my family with me."
You can't help but tear up at what the love of your life is saying. It's always these long car rides that get you and Niall to open up to each other and tell one another what's on your mind. He always listens to what you have to say and you listen to him. Even with your six year age difference, the chemistry between the two of you is there and you guys have so much in common.
You grab his hand and peck his cheek, then sit back to turn up the music. Ironically, his favorite song, Uptown Funk, came on and you look at Niall who's smile looks so dumb. Meanwhile, you're rolling your eyes at your boyfriend who is already screaming all the words.
"Do you do this when you're alone in the car?" you question.
"Of course I do but it's not as fun"
"And why's that?"
"Because there's no one to annoy"
You shook your head, slightly smiling to yourself. "You've definitely been hanging around with Liam too much."
"What makes you think that babe" he asks with a smirk.
"Because that's exactly what Sophia said Liam does. Plus the two of you are constantly together." you reply with a chuckle.
"What can I say" he replies with a cheeky grin.
All you could do was laugh and look out the window, wondering how Niall picked you out of the crowd at that concert and fell in love with you.
