Chapter 5
The rest of the day, Levi hadn't even acknowledged my presence and, unfortunately, I was left with my thoughts. He entered my house the other night just to tell me that he liked me and to ask me to be his girlfriend? Sorry, to blackmail me to date him.
Was he being serious? Does he really like me? Are we actually dating or is this some sick game?
Gah! What am I meant to think? Someone, help me!
The next day was not what I expected at all. In fact I don't think that it was what anyone expected at all. As soon as I was in Levi's site, I haven't been able to get out of it since. He has clung to me like koala does its mother and doesn't ever plan on letting me go it seems. Suddenly, he laced his fingers with mine and we were walking hand in hand. My face, I could feel it burning red as he pulled me closer to him so that there was no gap. Only then did I realise how short I was, I thought that I was pretty decent in size but he just threw any belief of that out the window.
"W-What are you doing?" I asked him.
He didn't bother glancing at me, "Showing everyone that you're mine."
I stared at the ground, trying to avoid everyone's stare, "I am pretty sure that they have an idea. Especially from that little stunt that we committed."
Levi gave me a questioning look, "What little stunt?"
My jaw dropped before I scowled at him, "Nuh-Uh! I am not falling for that again, you know exactly what I mean."
"Elaborate."
"At the party! When we went into the bedroom and pre-" I stopped. Stupid, Celine, stupid!
Levi gazed at me and smirked, "Oh, that wasn't fake, that was quite real."
I paled, "No it wasn't," I was trying not to yell as to not give anything away, "I remember exactly. We faked it for our benefit. Well, originally anyway, you refused the money."
His smirk never wavered, in fact, I'd say it grew, "No my delicious little pudding cup. Surely you know of all the alcohol you had consumed that night? I wouldn't be surprised if any of it were drugged. You practically begged me to take you right then and there."
His arm snaked around my shoulders and he dragged me in closer, rubbing my arm and breathing into my hair. I tightened up and pushed out of his grip, "That's a lie!"
Everyone began murmuring and looking at us warily, "Levi and Celine are already fighting?"
"Maybe their relationship has gone on longer than I imagined?"
"I didn't even know they were a couple!"
Levi looked wide eyed at me. I felt two, hot tears roll down my cheeks. Just as I turned to run, he grabbed my arm and pulled me closer, "Don't," He whispered. "It was a lie."
As much as I wanted to get out of his grip, I wanted to just fall asleep in his warmth even more. I hadn't even noticed that we were walking in the opposite direction until we were out of the gates of school.
"Where are we going?" I asked tiredly.
"Out. We'll get a change of clothes and just spend the day in town, that would be way better than school. We can call it our first date or something."
I looked back at school, "No, I have to go, if my parents get a call that I wasn't there - "
"Don't worry, I have it covered."
"How can you have it covered? You're just a student."
"I have learnt some things from time to time. Look, go in here and choose what you like."
I looked at the store and saw some gorgeous clothes for both men and women. "I don't have my wallet."
"I'll pay."
"I want to go to school."
"Well you can't."
"Why not?!"
"Because, do you really want to be questioned all of a sudden by everyone there? Asking personal questions about us, about you."
I thought about it. Sighing, I replied, "Well, if it means that I am getting a free outfit, than I won't refuse."
He smirked and lead me inside the store. Now, I am not stylish whatsoever, and that may be the reason for my lack of clothes. So when I stood inside that store for ages, looking at everything and wondering if it would look good before turning it down, it didn't surprise me that I was perhaps getting on his nerves,
"Nothing? You like nothing?" He questioned for the third time in the last minute.
"It's not that I like nothing, it's that nothing is appealing to me for a long time. Like, I just don't know. You choose."
Levi was already clad in what appeared to be a casual suit. I would be lying if I said that he didn't look good. But then again, this is Levi we're talking about. He could make a cardboard box work.
He picked up a neon pink dress that was way overdone. You don't need to be stylish to know that I couldn't pull it off. But Levi might though. However, I immediately smacked it out of his hands and he snickered. The next dress was a floral one with a pink ribbon around the waist. I stared at it sceptically, floral?
It seemed that he was dead serious about this one though and shoved me into the dressing room. I shuddered before putting it on and then shyly revealing myself to him. This felt... Weird. What are we doing exactly? Is this truly a date? I have no idea. It sure feels like one though, why did he have to suggest this outing like that? I think that I am thinking about this too much. I need to stop.
The whole time I was standing in front of him, he was just staring at me. My face burned at his glare and I turned to go back into the dressing room, "Yeah, I didn't think that floral was really my thing."
As I entered the room, he decided to follow, which made matter extremely more awkward. "Hang on, just let me try something."
I froze and allowed him to do whatever he wanted to me. Which sounds bad at the moment, but don't get so dirty minded yet. In actual fact, he was playing with my hair. When he was finished, I saw that he had it in a messy, side, loose bun which he wrapped in my own hair. How? Only God knows.
"It's gonna fall out," I told him.
He gave me that amused look and spoke, "Just don't move your head so suddenly."
I laughed, "How can I not? It's natural for me to just flick my head randomly to get hair out of my face, whether I have hair hanging there or not. Jeez Levi, your my boyfriend right? You should know this."
His eyes seemed to darken and then flicker back to normal, "I am your boyfriend? Yes, so you are my girlfriend."
"Uhm..." Was all I could say. Was this boy stable? What happened to the annoying, childish Levi I knew and disapproved of? Also somewhat admired but any girl would be flustered under this brute's gaze.
"I want to hear you say it," He somewhat demanded.
I blinked in confusion, "Say what?"
"That you are my girlfriend."
Shivers crawled up and down my spine, he what? But, why?! I wanted to question him but by the look in his eyes, he was dead serious about this and wasn't going to give up. I began to stutter, and, it didn't help that he was stepping closer with each word that merely escaped my lips, "I-I erm... I am your girl-uh - friend?" I think we were both unsatisfied by my pathetic attempt. I screwed up my eyes and inhaled deeply, "I am your girlfriend!" I practically yelled in his face.My eyes didn't open until I felt two callous hands stroke my face. They rubbed my cheeks a few times before gipping them and pulling me closer. I didn't hesitate... Did I want this? So many questions! Why is he doing this?!!! Alarms were ringing but when his lips lightly touched mine, he pulled back almost as fast as the action itself. I looked up at him in both a daze and confusion.
"I want," He began before looking at the dressing room door, "To get some ice-cream."
