Kit and Grace had an eventful day of shopping, so when Grace invited him over to "read" Romeo and Juliet, he accepted right away.

Grace's house just seemed to fit her, in a way. It was bigger than anything else Kit had seen in his tour of the city as far as houses go, but it wasn't giant. It was just the right size. The cerulean home was organized but not uncomfortably so, and Grace's room - well, her room was just entirely her.

"I pictured you with green walls for some reason." Kit looked around her room.

Grace's juxtaposition could easily be sensed in the green-surrounded room. “Yeah? Is it my sparkling personality or the fact that you’re green with envy over how awesome I am?”

Kit sighed overdramatically and shook his head, seating himself in Grace’s desk chair. “That was a terrible joke,” he said with a laugh.

“And yet,” Grace said proudly. “You laughed.” She sat on the edge of her bed, facing Kit.

“Fair point,” he agreed with a smile. “So, are you going to teach me everything there is to know about Shakespeare? Or the tale of two houses both alike in dignity, in fair Verona where they lay the scene…”

“Wow, you’re so smart because you can quote one of the most famous lines in the world,” she spoke with a snarky roll of her eyes, although it was not unkind.

“Shut up,” he said, sticking his tongue out at her.

“You’re so childish,” Grace said playfully. “It’s a good thing you’re cute, because otherwise I would just kick you out.”

Kit hung onto the one word and heard nothing else, looking at her consciously. His cheeks were turning a faint shade of pink. “You think I’m cute?”

“Well, yeah, we’ve gone over this,” she said, looking down to her fumbling hands. “You’re also a giant nerd, so..."

Kit looked back up at her, donning a cocky grin. “Correct me if I’m wrong, but you like smart boys.”

“I do,” Grace nodded slyly before picking up her copy of Romeo and Juliet. She handed Kit his own and then began reading.

While Grace was reading the small portion of Juliet, Kit stared at her. He was amazed by her beauty and loved that she put herself in the reading. Grace took a small glance at Kit,

"What?" Grace questioned, putting the book down.

Kit shrugged, "You look pretty is all."

Grace raised her eyebrows, "Where is this coming from?"

"All I said was that you look pretty." Kit bit his lip nervously, debating on if he should have said anything.

Grace rested her eyebrows and gave a small smile, "Thanks, Kit."

He nodded and put his eyes back  into the story, picking up where she left off.

"Wait...So yesterday, we were told that we have to audition on Tuesday for the play, and every boy and girl have to do the balcony scene...I knew you didn't have a partner, so I signed you up with me."

(Im so sorry the chapters are becoming less frequent and shorter, my friend and i have been writing less because were both busy and stressed with school work, i will be trying to get more updates soon though, thank you for being patient.)
