Chapter 5

I couldn't stay long anymore, I told Ray to take me back to the hostel....

There are moments in person's life that change everything, shake things up and steer you in a different direction. Of course I guess, this is the moment. I couldn't think straight, I thought about how my day went, obviously it went bad.When Ray dropped me, Cassendra wasn't home and I didn't know about her whereabout, just then I got a text message from her:

hey babe,how is your dinner going with Ray, I went out with one of my classmate and I don't think I'm gonna come to the hostel this night, so I will just sleepover in her hostel this night and will come to school tomorrow from there. Don't miss me too much hun and have fun.

I hissed after reading the message, if only she knows what happened. I and Ray talked for two hours on phone, I managed to sleep that night.

The following day, I went to school but moody, I hope I don't get to experience the shit that happened to me yesterday. I thought. Class finally ends about an hour, everyone gets up, grabbing their bookbags and such.I walked out of the class (I was on my way to Cassendra's class)..........

"Uhhh, excuse me" Trying to shuffle past him, he grabs my wrist when I reached the hallway, unable for me to escape he pulls me closer.......

What if Ray sees me?

"How can I help you?" I asked trying to yank myself out of his grib, I raised my hand and slapped him, He smiled.

"You are hurting my wrist" I wince.

"Who the hell are youand what do you want I shouted

" I am Jayler Kurt" he finally speaks up, I am not even in the mood for all this and I don't wanna transfer agression to him........

"Fine what the hell do you want?" He gives me a crooked smile......

"Pulling me closer again, why are you pulling me close to you?"I slapped him the second time

"Because you're pretty and such a pretty girl like you shouldn't be walking alone" he says flirtatiously

"How is it your business and besides I have a boyfriend and from the look I'm seeing right now you are not even up to his standard, try this shit with me again and see what I'm gonna do to you, Son of a bitch" I eyed him from head to toe and walked away.

I got to Cassendra's class, she stood up and hug me but I didn't hug her back. She looks at my face........

"Why are you putting on this sad look?"

"Cause my dinner with Ray was ruined
"

"Ruined! how?"

" I don't know who the hell she was and the hell she came out from and spilled a cup of coffee on my dress, I was so messed up"I blurt out

"Really, awwn with the way you dressed up" she said trying to laugh

I frowned " It is not funny, must you joke at everything"

"I'm sorry"

" Oh shut up"

Cassendra's bag fell from the desk letting out a letter, I picked it up, it lokoks like the one Ray gave to me. Cassendra was looking at another direction, I decided to open the letter and see what is written there. To my surprise, it was the letter Ray gave me, the same letter the unknown person took without me knowing. I was so shocked......

How could my bestfriend do such.

Was she the one that bumped into me?

No ,no , the person dosen't look like her or did she ask someone to...........

"Cassendra! I shouted, how the hell this letter got into your bag?"

"What letter? and calm your voice down, you're shouting"

"Don't , don't....... just answer my question, how the hell this letter got into your bag?"I repeated and threw her bag to the front of the class.

"I really don't know how this got into my bag, I'm confused besides I'm just seeing it now" She said trying to touch me.

"Don't dare touch me, no wonder your response was somehow when I told you about it, now I get. You're just a asshole and don't ever come near me"
I threw the letter at her and stormed out of her class without giving her a listening ear.

Along the hallway, I saw Ray coming towards me............

"Theresa, where have you been, I went to your class but you were not there, besides why is your face like this?" He asked pacing

It's Cassendra, she betrayed me, my bestfriend........"

Can you make it clear, I'm lost"

"I didn't want to tell you this but I have to now. Yesterday, Katie the girl you introduced me to as you friend at the cafetaria the other day, she came to me and apologised for giving me a negative response when I greeted her but I didn't even care. Then she said she wanna be friend with me......."

"For real!"(Ray asked surprisingly)

"Yeah"

"That's nice though"

"Niceee?Well I don't need a reply to that. The same day an unknown goddamn person bumped into me and took the letter from me without me knowing, I told Cassendra all this, I told her something is definately wrong but she said no nothing is wrong. Her response was somehow............"

"Why didn't you tell me all this?"Ray asked and shook his head

" Cause I don't wanna but to my greatest surprise I saw the letter inside Cassendra's bag just now......"

"You are joking right"?

"No, do I look like I'm joking?"

"Why would she do such?"

"She must have be admiring you secretly or probably she is jealous of me......"

"No Babe , don't think that way, I really don't think Cassendra can do such or even try to......."

"Wait are you trying to defend her?" My anger increased......

"No I'm not just saying......."

"Aarghhh" I grined.......

"Calm down"Ray said patting me but I pushed him and walked away, he ran after me.........

"Listen Theresa, noone can come between us, I love you and I won't break your heart, mark my words........"

"I love you too but how could she?"(I said in a lone tone).......

"It's fine hun" he pulled me close to him and kissed me...............................
