I woke up even more cuddled in with Owen. I looked at the clock he had put over the door to see that it was 8:02. I woke up Owen and when I did he just pulled me closer.
"Wake up!" I screamed. He immediately let go and apologized profusely.
"Whatever" I replied, slightly annoyed that he didn't listen to what I had told him, but I guess I can't tell him what to do.
"We need to get to the motel so we can drop our stuff off and start applying." I said, waiting for him to get dressed.
"Yeah, can I ask you something?"
"Anything"
"Why did you bring so much money with you, you really didn't need that much if you had planned on getting a job."
"I didn't plan on getting a job, I was going to use that money for a couple years and I was going to live in alleys."
"Oh, well it's a good thing I talked some sense into you."
"Yeah... Well hurry up and get packed because we have to go, Mr.Evergreen starts driving in 20 minutes."
"Ok, ok, I'm hurrying."
I left some money on the table for letting us stay, and we walked out thanking Mr.Evergreen, the whole time we were walking I was wondering why Owen trusted me. "There's no reason for him to trust me" "I'm just another 15 year old girl". Then again, there's no reason for me to trust him, maybe it's because he's going through the same thing, maybe it's because of his smile.
"Hurry up, your slowing us down." He said in a jokingly annoyed tone.
"Shut up!" I replied, not knowing what else to say.
"Ok, we're here"
It was weirdly really nice, it had two big glass doors for us to go into, a dining room, a big kitchen, and a meeting room.
"Are you sure this is only $30 a night?"
"I'm positive"
"Ok" I said walking up to the counter
"Hi, how may I help you today" the lady behind the counter had said with a huge smile, she looked young with long blonde hair and big green eyes. She dressed in a blue outfit with the company name on the front.
"We need a room for two" I said trying to force a smile.
"Ok, one or two beds"
I looked back at Owen and he told me that it would be cheaper to do one bed, he said looking happier than someone should be.
"Just the one please" I said as I noticed how much my hands were shaking, I've never had to do things on my own.
"Ok, and how long will you guys be staying?"
"For right now, two weeks, but is there any way we could see if we could stay longer of we need to?"
"Yes ma'am, just give me a card in case you use the mini bar, nothing will be charged unless you do."
I looked back at Owen to see if he had a personal one, and he nodded and gave one to the lady.
"And a name?" She said said looking at his card.
"Owen Floe" he replied stuttering.
"Ok Mr. Floe, your room is 435 D, it will be upstairs on the right."
"Thanks you so much" I replied quickly in case she changed her mind.
"it's 9:20, so we can get situated and start getting ready to do some interviews!" I said, realizing how nerdy I sounded.
"Ok, so every morning they have breakfast, so we don't have to go shopping for breakfast, but we do need to shop today or tomorrow."
"We will split up and interview at as many places as we can in this mall, and then at one we will meet here." I said pointing to a food court. "I grabbed two of these on my way out of the lobby."
"Hey Lia, so I understand you're rich, but are you famous, or well known?"
"No, so I will give all of these places my real name."
"Good, the mall doesn't open for another 30 minutes, and it's 20 minutes away, so we have 10 minutes to do something."
"You hungry" I asked giggling.
"Heck yeah I haven't eaten in forever"
"O, it's been 10 hours"
"Shut up, let's go"
"Ok"
It was time to interview, I'll give it all I have.
