I woke up, and felt something warm around me. I unconsciously snuggled into it, until I noticed the 'thing' had a heartbeat.
'WHAT THE FUCK?!'
I froze for a second but then looked up. Holy shit. I was sleeping next to the winter soldier.
I tried to wriggle away from him but he only tightened his grip on me and grumbled in his sleep.
I decided it was no use and tried to remember something, anything really. What was my name? I did have a name right? Who are these people? The only thing I know is that they threw me into this cell and that I'm supposed to take care of the soldier. And why do they keep calling him 'it'? He's a man, not an object. And what are these missions they're sending him on? Is he doing those in free will? He told me he doesn't have a name, what if they wiped our memories or something? He has to have an actual name right? And how did he survive that wound in his chest?
My head was pounding from all the questions by the time I heard the Asset wake up. He got up and went back to his side of the cell. I looked at him with confusion in my eyes. "You were going to catch hypothermia." He stated, answering the question I didn't even ask.
He scared me in a way, he was way taller than me, had a metal arm, he looked rough and it was like his eyes could look straight through me. "Where are we?" "Home." He simply said. I huffed, and immediately regretted it when I felt pain in my chest. 'Can I heal myself?' I thought. I gave it a shot and it didn't work. Crap.
I gave up and tried to go to sleep again.
