Chapter 5

Emiko POV

Its been a few days since that Jian left, everything felt different. I could feel myself getting weaker. Every time I tried to bring myself to be happy again, I just seem unable to. Their just always this uneasy feeling... Is he watching me? Slowly and slowly this dark pain inside of me kept growing along with everyones expression. It seems like they are worried consistently. Are they worried about me?

"Emiko!" Brother yelled as he slammed the front door. I jumped and ran towards him.

"Yes brother?" I asked, confused.

"Its time." We stood in silence for a few seconds, he examined me. "Its time to talk about the clan."

"What do you mean?"

"Our clan is a branch from the Uchihas. I mean, thats how people explain it. Just like them, we rarely have female kids growing up here that are blood related. You see, we have the ability to copy bloodlines. One of the first people of our clan decided to copy the Uchihas bloodline which is now unearasable."

"Wait... We have the ability to copy-"

"Its a rare kekkei genkei, Emiko. Now, our clan has suspicions that you are breaking the bloodline. If we had a female born into the clan before the Uchihas, then the bloodline is broken. Their is alot more to it but I am assuming that's the reason you are born the way you are."

"What do you mean born the way I am?"

"Born extremely fragile is what I mean. Also means, you are the straight descendant of the first leader of our clan. Others may have already figured this out before we warned you. Which means from now on, you are my top priority. I will be protecting you along with Kakashi. The Hokage requested that whenever I am on a mission, Kakashi will be protecting you. A few others are in process of being examined too."

"But how am I closely related to our first leader? That doesn't make sense." Brother sighed and placed a hand on my shoulder, leaning down closer to me.

"You broke the bloodline. The first leader created the bloodline after he had his first kid. His first kid was just like you except a male. The first leader is our great, great, great and so on, grandpa. Thats why we are a noble family and thats why we believe you are more related to him then anyone else. Which may lead to others seeking revenge, your powers, and seeking you in general."

"But what about his son? Wouldn't it make more sense if I was related to him?"

"No, since he died before he was able to make children. Besides doctors told him that he was unable to do so. You see, some sperm is incredibly weak and his was." My eyes widened. Does that mean I wont be able to have kids? "Now, Kakashi and I are only temporarily protecting you. Since me and him are highly skilled, we are on alot of missions. Most of your days will most likely be with the Hokage."

"The Hokage?" He nodded.

"Yes, you'll be safe their."

"Why can't mother and father protect me!" I yelled frustrated. I dont want to be away from them...

"They can't. They resigned after that mission from being a ninja. They did their time, now it's mine. Besides the Hokage is a cool guy." I frowned and walked away. This is dumb... Why does it matter anyway? Why is it always me? First its the way people treated me, like I'm a burden and should always be taken care of. And now I'm completely under surveillance like some kind of dangerous animal and yet I'm not even close to being dangerous.

"Wait, Em! Where are you going?" I quickly pulled my brown boots on and slammed the door behind me. This is stupid... Why can't I just be a normal kid? Why do I have to look like this? I continued to walk through the compound and into the sacred forest. This particular forest is filled with rare medicinal plants and beautiful ponds. I made my way through the forest to the black pond.
