Stiles hated Neverland. Growing up, he had a bit of a crush on Peter Pan, in a sense that he fantasized about an older boy coming to him and taking him away to this magical place full of wonder, where he wouldn't have to think about his mother's degrading sanity, where time stood still, where no one had to die – ever. Now, going through this thick, dark jungle Stiles was reconsidering his childhood fantasies.
"You okay?" quietly asked Regina, not to draw the attention of the whole crew. Rumpelstiltskin reluctantly stuck with them, after Regina's heartfelt speech. It was mostly because he wanted to closely observe the lad and see what he was capable of doing – or how far was he willing to go.
"It's not the highlight of my life – that's for sure," grumbled Stiles, thanking every known deity for technology. "How people lived without wi-fi and shower is beyond me... Oh my God! We have to bathe in rivers now! Like some peasants," his reply was full of terror and dread.
It was so genuine, that Regina found herself chuckling at his dramatics. She shuddered a moment later, realizing that his words had a grain of truth. Look, she was a queen, okay? She was a bit more refined than that. River-bathing and using acorns for money was more of a Snow White's department.
"It's not so bad," tried to cheer them Snow, who suddenly appeared near Stiles, probably eavesdropping on their whole conversation. "I used to live in the wilderness while I was on the run," she told him as if that was supposed to endear him to her.
"Charming," drawled Stiles, getting a simultaneous snort from Rumple and Regina. Snow looked a bit disheartened, but she had no such word as 'surrendering' in her vocabulary. "What's our battle plan?"His sudden question surprised everyone and got some curious looks from Rumple and Regina. David turned his head towards the conversation too, interested in how would they deal with Pan. Hook kept walking, but he kept an ear on them.
"Find Henry and get the fuck out of this creepy-ass place," Stiles snorted but shook his head.
"That's not what I meant. That's the end goal. But what is our strategy? Pan obviously took the kid for a reason. He needed him alive for ransom or some potion ingredient," Regina winced, suddenly remembering all the potions that used human body parts as ingredients. "So the main question is – how do we kill Pan?"
Hook turned his head towards the boy, giving him a flirtatious smirk. "I knew I'd like you more than your sister," Stiles just rolled his eyes ignoring the nosy pirate. Rumple shot him an approving look, already liking his battle-ready mindset.
"Is it... necessary to kill him? He's just a boy," softly complained Snow, getting support from her hubby. No surprise there.
"I mean... you could always sic your birds at him?" Emma burst out laughing, drawing betrayed looks from other Charmings. "Or was that something Disney lied about?"
"I'm afraid I can't control the wildlife," responded Snow. "There should be a way that doesn't end in violence."
"Dunno about you," started Stiles, looking ahead, his sensitive nose picked up a smell of an intruder. "But I feel rather violent today. I can already smell our first victim."
